  1. Interesting to see so many brands from Pure Motion move to Switchback.... First POC and now these.
  2. Does yours ever randomly beep at you? Can't figure this one out.
  3. This. Risk my life riding my bike already, definitely not going to risk it trying to claim back a stolen bike. The police also will not do **** about it even if you give them the location. Only solution is some private security firm that could go fetch it for you. But at what cost?
  4. Casual rider = Stumpjumper. The ST version with 120mm travel is more than enough for most trails out in SA. You don't mention where you are based though. This will influence decisions a bit as well.
  5. Unpopular opinion. People overclean their bikes and do more damage than good.
  6. Apple airtag isn't great. Tested it and it couldn't even locate my keys in my house. It just tells me there is no signal. It does however show me that my keys are at the address. Another problem is that the tag notifies iPhones near it that it is tracking them. Had to disable the notifications on my phone or I would get constant notifications that I'm being tracked. Maybe there is a way past that.
  7. As long as I don’t see them up for sale in the classifieds 😂
  8. I would have offered to ship it up with my wheels from Jewbacca but you’re in the deeeeeep south compared to Centurion.
  9. Purgatory and Butcher 29x2.3 looking for a deserving home Collection in Doringkloof Centurion Plenty of tread left on both. Purgatory has a plug but both hold air perfectly setup tubeless.
  10. Replaces my 10 year old PCS-9 stand. Ignore the floor 😂
  11. Slammed it on Flow Track. Second set of s-berms and entered too hot. Front washed over the top of the berm and disposed of my corpse to the left. Thank goodness for kneepads and long sleeves. Not a scratch on me.
  12. It really is a pain. Transition and Revel are ticking the boxes. First prize is always Evil.
  13. Back to my car to lick my wounds.
  14. Nope. Can be a used frame in very good condition as well.
  15. I’ve googled my fingers into bloody little stumps trying to find a small trail bike frame in the 120mm to 140mm travel range in this country. Worldwide shortages are definitely still gery real. Any leads out there? Pretty much open to any brands at this point. Us kortgat riders aren’t really in luck.
  16. Hopefully we can see this brand alive in SA again. The Spur would be a welcome addition to the house.
  17. Make it a single speed 😂😶
  18. I take it back then. I completely forgot about the trolley guys. I do recycle though. I put all the recyclable bits in clear plastic bags for them to identify and make life easier.
  19. True but how do you know it actually gets recycled at some processing plant. How many people know that you need to clean your solid waste before recycling it? Like I said, South Africa does not have a culture of recycling. This is not a valid selling point for me on this product.
  20. Exactly my experience. So many people talk about feeling "connected" to their clipless pedals. It never felt that way to me. The float feeling always made me feel like I one have the contact patch of the clear to rely on. Flat pedal gives me the full surface of the pedal to sit on. With jumps I scoop up the pike using the pedals instead of pulling it up and in corners I feel like I can really put weight down on the outside pedal. The ability to quickly dab if needed is a huge confidence booster indeed.
  21. Here is my question about that statement. Who is actually going to recycle that? It isn't like South Africa has the biggest recycling culture.
