  9. Any suggestions where to donate old cycling apparel in Cape Town Northern suburbs ? See in older posts (2017) Specialized store or CWC suggested. This still the case ? 2 helmets, 2 pair road shoes (size 45/46) and 1 pair mtb shoe (45) etc.... Please advise.

  13. NICE !!! Looks great, enjoy
  14. Depending on what BB you have, you can also consider putting in the second spacer which you normally get in the box. A bit of trial and error but you should manage. Good luck.
  15. Had similar issue and replaced cable which sorted it out.
  16. Spot on. Have had that coil spring slip out of the hole the end is secured in. You can actually replace the spring if it worn or bent. Taking it apart and cleaning and lubricating normally takes care of the sticking. If its a new derailleur this should not happen !!!
  17. Found 4 button remote on Green route just before entry into Rooikat on Friday 5 June. See attached. You welcome to contact me on 0828882738.
  18. Found 4 button remote on black leather tag in Bottelary hills trails, on green route short drop before entering Rooikat single track section. Friday 5 June 2020. Welcome to contact me on 0828882738.

  20. Thx Any comment on Novatec hubs ?
  21. Thx for replies. Have done but edges on where the pawls have to engage are burred now. Pawls themselves are fine, shitty little spring though, to think you entire ride depends on something so small... Does that mean replacing the hub ? I thought so !!
  22. Anybody have issues with the engagement of the free body ?? I often have this "clunck" noise as I apply power. OEM wheels on Scott Scale Pro 29 er, spec sheet says DT Swiss XR29 but think the are 240's as XR29' not on DT Swiss website. Probably done a 1000 km on it, second free body (replaced on warranty), now it would appear that the hub itself has bocome damaged, edges burred as a result of engagment problem I think.. It only has 2 pawls. Next question: what do I replace it with that wont break the bank, is easy to service and maintain with spares readily available ??? Any comments ???
  23. C50 Dura ace groupset and Mavic Ksyruim wheels.
  24. Interesting !!! I took velcro strap, similar to what you use to secure a pump for example, and attached the spare quater turn mount to it. You can use rubber band supplied or any other method Can then fit it around your arm or to spinning bike at gym, which was the main reason I wanted it...
  25. Had same issue. Out in sticks on holiday so no help or lbs to go to. Had no special tool. Took out cranck, used sharp tool to lift out bearing seals, washed an rinsed with para fine to get out all the grit as best I could, syringe works well, blow out excess with compressed air, pushed in waterproof grease as best I could and but it back an was sorted. Not impressed as bike only 3 months old !! Don't use high pressure washers and cannot understand how all grit got in. Generally avoid cycling through crank deep water as well. Some research on web shows that you can remove with some basic tools. Will attempt when back at home. How long should a BB last ?
