  1. And no option to hang a RD, :-)
  2. Mmmm, WANT! Other option is what NSBB has just done, comes close to this.
  3. My neighbor / riding partner would have been one of those types, I reffered him to a deal when he was looking for a bike for his missus.
  4. Black and purple Merida Juliet by any chance?
  5. Yoh B, that looks awesome, I'm not gonna comment on the SS part (outta my league).
  6. Granted a bit extreme, but there "may" be a place for it. Yip, and learnt a lot in the process.
  7. 100% agree with you (although I'm not sure Wiggle / CRC would accept an eft), you don't need a 40-50k bike to change your life, its about disipline and planning.
  8. More like trying to save the bloke endless hours of pain, suffering and frustration
  9. So the Guy / Girl sitting on the couch, potentially overweight / borderline who cannot afford to go out and buy a new / 2nd hand bike in cash although really wants to start riding to get "fit", must rather not and end up having a heart attack at 33? This faciliity may give that person the ability / motivation (if you are paying for it every month you better be using it - Not the case for most Virgin members I know) to start something that could potentially be life changing and in fact maybe save their life. What is more likely to be used, a gym membership that is likely not to be used after the 2nd month (which you are tied into for a number of years anyway) or a finance payment for a bike that you can use at anytime day or night? Would I personally finance a bicycle, probably not, my car and house are financed but my bikes were built up over a period of time with parts sourced from different places (thanks mostly to the great people on theHub, :-) ) as and when i could spare the money. Edit: S&G
  10. The breaks ( ) are lekka like that, I think I'll move my shifters to the top like this one and try it, now I know why shimano introduced the dual release levers.
  11. Agreed, I even used a "Mega9" and it worked
  12. I call marketing BS. Check the "which shock pump" thread in the tech section, plenty of options but boils down to budget, they all work and even the accuracy of the gauge is not a major factor, that is if you setup by sag.
  13. What were you doing hanging on the bolt? Kidding, I once had one twist and come out about 15mm but luckily it held, not a nice feeling at all, especially when you are up on the 6th or 7th pitch
  14. Hope it wasnt one of those "Have you seen what someone said about you -> click here" type messages, @Wayne & Dips, you guys are legends!
  15. Bel-Ray Been reading up on some Moto forums and they mention that the heavier weight will slow the damping down and presumably affect the rebound too (although rebound could be adjusted with the valve) with the nett effect of making the fork feel stiffer? edit: spelling
  16. Sorry, mini hijack question for Droo. I just realised that i put 15w fork oil in the damper side of my RS Reba (29,RLT,Motion Control) where the manual calls for 5w, is this going to be a major issue? i.e. dont ride until its drained and replaced or is it ok to ride and replace at a later stage?

    Bike Bells

Only option here is a set dual air horns, any half decent moto spares shop will have, easy to fit as well. Had a set on my '81 golf I and they were awesome.
  18. Thought he was, :-(, also in need of some famous Grumpy advice
  19. What, no helmets....
  20. 1. Remove the tire, remove the rim strip and you should be able to get the nipple out. 2. I have on a few occasions with no issues, I lost 2 spokes last week and the wheel became really "flexy" and got out've true quite quick but these were only seperated by 1 spoke, imho if they were on opposite sides it would also not have been a problem.
  21. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pp89tTDxXuI Mind = blown Edit - Direct link
  22. Instead of a financial deal perhaps you should consider replacing the look with a SS commuter type bike that will last him a few years? Assuming though that he wasn't the original thief which it's unlikely that he is.
  23. .
  24. Have you checked your chainring bolts? [runs, ducks and hides...]
  25. Ditto, pleeeez :-)
