Yes, a few times. It's a good event. The Krugersdorp area has some nice hilly routes. It's in aid of the West Rand Association for the Physically Disabled. Usually it's the same day as their annual fete, so plenty to eat and drink and good stalls to browse and buy. There's always a nice vibe at this race. (and it's for a good cause.) Please support it!
The thing is Arnie kicks off a story line (as presenter) with AM to fill the gaps with knowledgeable bits. Arnie's not bad and AM can stay. He asks questions to studio guests that I wanted answers to. Kick Owen and make space for an exciting new studio guest each week. I liked it when John-Lee was in the studio.

How many of those tennis spectators are so passionate about their sport that they would queue in front of the stadium for days, to buy a ticket for the match? Sure, there are some hooligans on those climbs that need a slap in the face, but being spectator to TdF is FREE.
I don't mind waiting a day or two for results, but walkerville results are very basic. SS timing is not very electronic, and their results have age, gender overall position etc. I heard the guy call out our numbers, but there is a 5 minutes gap between myself and my friend who finished right behind me.
Let him go, he's big enough to think (?) for himself. Try as we might, we can't be every one else's conscience. Save your breath and look after the ones close to you.
I regularly pass the Bedfordview runners on my training rides out that way. They are responsible in the sense of group training and staying on the side of the road, opposite the traffic. But they should stock up on some lights and reflective wear for heaven's sake! I got 2 of those flashing, reflective clip on lights in goodie bags at races during the year and I use mine. Surely the runners get them at races too.
