  1. it arrive this coming week. there was a slight delay on their side. i will post back here as soon as its in our hands
  2. i had the same issue adding the extension worked perfectly
  3. so this bike is up for sale. it served it purpose of evaluating Parlee as a bike and deciding on if its good enough. as it stands its brilliant, so much so i have an order for a couple custom painted RZ7 bikes that should be here in the next few months. size 52 and 54. i also have a jet black Parlee Chebacco gravel bike coming in so stay tuned for more build threads https://bikehub.co.za/classifieds/item/road-bikes/473781/parlee-rz7-demo-bike
  4. i once had a Sram crank that developed a tick noise. remove the crank and try bend or twist it against the spindle it was the arm that was ticking and not something that was repairable

Gotta add e-tolls on top of that price...
  6. my parents are in CT, i try visit as often as i can. and it would be single speed fair point. i will build the next bike by the bins so there will be no confusion regarding where i am located yep, got the spark from Ridgeway Cycles. i get around... its one of those paint schemes that looks a whole heap better in the flesh i'm working on the URUS. i only need to sell 1million more bikes to make it maybe sorta happen. possibly
  7. I can confirm this is Melovelo. they recently expanded there shop size to accommodate an impressive service area
  8. Getting the Richard Baxter treatment
  9. Dr Matt Franzsen is my go to. and he is an avid cyclist https://www.puresymmetryza.com/meet-your-doctors
  10. shots fired... i'd be careful - they are registered as Dr's for a reason.
  11. i ride my XX1 AXS with a XTR cassette no issues
  12. Yep. that includes the Frame Fork, headset bearings, BB, seatpost, bars and stem. Frame alone is +-1045G (including cable guides) Fork alone is +-476G (including cable guides) Seatpost alone is +-249G - uncut weight (i cut mine after weighinng as it would otherwise not go low enough) Interestingly the claimed weights of the Madone full frameset is 2kgs. but includes the seatpost. https://www.trekbikes.com/us/en_US/bikes/road-bikes/performance-road-bikes/madone/madone-slr/madone-slr-disc-frameset/p/29527/?colorCode=black_grey so the difference is 230G lighter on the frameset the remaining difference is likely due to GXP crank vs DUB crank and BB, bars and stem combo of the madone is possibly heavier
  13. That is how all bike weights are traditionally done. Its because everyone has their own pedal preference, bottle cage preference and garmin mount preference. not everyone is willing to pay R7k for super lightweight pedals. or R1k per bottle cage also, the above figures i stated include the Quarq Powermeter
  14. by comparison, my Madone fully tricked out is 7.55kgs ex pedals and bottle cages
  15. it came with the Fizik Argo R5 my Madone has the Bontrager aeolus pro
  16. For the weight weenies. i measured the built bike ex wheels. Thats Force AXS groupset with bottle cages, garmin mount and saddle. it came in 55grams heavier than my Madone thats not bad! consider the Madone is fully tricked out 300 grams savings in groupset (Sram Force vs Sram Red) 80grams savings on the saddle (251g for the Fizik vs 170g for the bontrager) very slight savings on the bottle cages ( i guess 5 grams each at most) that makes the Parlee RZ7 Frameset a good +-350 grams lighter than the Madone So in theory you could build this framset up with Sram Red, Roval rapide wheels and get it pretty much to 7.2kgs (ex bottle cages and pedals) that includes the quarq power meter on both bikes not bad!
  17. I'll do a full review after next weekend. I want to get an objective feel for the bike without the "new bike" mentality getting in the way. its definitely in the top 3 bikes i have ever ridden for ride quality and comfort. i just want to verify my initial thoughts with a few more rides and compare it to the Madone
  18. A couple more pics - these better show off the actual colour of the bike A very neat Garmin mount. the bars are oval in shape and have a subtle rearward curve making for a very comfortable cockpit
  19. a few other comparison pics between the Parlee and Trek showing off the finish quality on the Parlee its a pity i do not have a pic of the Trek BB area to compare. before anyone thinks i am bashing Trek, i am not. its one of my favourite bikes! i'm looking objectively at the attention to detail and overall quality of the finish. I have worked on many bikes. My previous Cannondale's, Giant's and Ritte finishes all look much the same as the Trek. the Parlee is just on another level Parlee Trek
  20. Here we go. its clear Parlee when the extra mile to smooth out the profile of their through axles. as a reference point the other bike is a 2020 Trek Madone with the Trek designed removable handle through axles - bulky by comparison! and i cannot change the axles as Trek irritatingly uses a proprietary thread. so you have to use their through axles. learn't that the hard way. Parlee Front Trek Front Parlee Rear Trek Rear
  21. i'll take a few pics no problem when i get home. the non-drive side is unreal i will compare it to my madone for you to highlight just how sleek the design of this bike is
  22. And lastly a few with the Roval Rapides
  23. A few pics with my NSW 454 Zipps (soon to be up for sale)
  24. Picture Time! some of the pictures are with the cheaper sram disc and some with the correct sram XR disc. ( the cheaper one came with the groupset, i put it on while i waited for the XR version to arrive) it is enormously difficult to photograph this bike - the paintwork has an incredibly deep gloss finish
