  2. Tough to say, i'll post back here as soon as i know

  4. First a disclaimer. i am the dealer for Parlee Cycles in Southern Africa. This bike is my own personal bike. hence why i am keeping this on my personal profile. Parlee along with all other bike brands world wide are suffering with a shortage of groupsets. I brought this bike in as a rolling chassis. The Rolling Chassis kit includes all below all brand new: 2021 Parlee RZ7 LE framesetEnve Foundation 45 wheelset - tubeless tape and valves includedParlee integrated carbon barsParlee integrated stemParlee integrated Garmin out front mount2x Parlee carbon bottle cagesParlee carbon seatpost150mm Fizik Argo R5 Saddle2x Tubeless ready 28mm Vittoria Corsa Graphine 2.0 TiresParlee through axlesCane Creek Headset bearingsTubes (i will not be using these as i plan on riding this bike tubeless)Arundel bar tapeSo the only thing missing was a groupset and bottom bracket. Thankfully i was able to source an almost new Force Etap AXS groupset with around 1000km of use. This included a Force Quark power crank which is a nice extra to have! I was also able to source a DUB BB for the frame today. So now i have the fun assembly ahead of me!
  5. I know you all like a good build thread This arrived today I'm going to start putting it together during the course of this week.
  6. indeed. and i can say, the 258g rims are really noticeable. really feels like cheating how fast this bike changes speed that is the standard colour. as far as i know this is the only version of this bike in RSA for the moment. ah. i've walked into my garage numerous times just to look at it, then i walk out and 5 min later i find myself in the garage again staring at it again
  7. 1. i use HR, power(gives cadence), speed via GPS and radar and get 10 hours easily 2. can't help here. have never had the need
  8. i feel like sharing had it 2 weeks and have only taken it on one short super easy ride in that time
  9. i ended up buying a bike that has a 26mm inner running 2.35 tires - i wont go any bigger than that for my purposes.
  10. Orange Seal will be in Country in the next month. hold on tight as its the best road sealant out there
  11. Thanks! the hope is that i grow into a good enough rider to actually warrant such a bike. as it stands i'm 100% a poser! Ridgeway is around 20min from me so not to far off. the mistake was travelling out there to "view" it. turned into a very expensive viewing
  12. Ah my primary love, Custom wheelbarrows. This one has a few hidden features, custom bars bend gets your weight perfectly balanced. The ceramic bearings make for a smooth as butter pushing experience. Plus it's orange
  13. 10.76kgs Xt pedals Bottle cages Garmin mount Plenty slime

i downloaded Thunder VPN on my android and was able to watch the race no problem on my phone. i was not able to cast it onto my chromecast which sucked
  16. yep its feels to me the magical number is more like 27.5mm
  17. So i am in the market for some new MTB wheels. the riding i am doing currently is some XC riding (the occasional race like 947 MTB), general marathon riding and stage races like Sani/W2W etc. i live in JHB. 85-90% of my mtb rides are comparable to Cradlemoon yellow route and surrounding outrides. the question here is 25mm or 30mm internal width when paired to 2.35 or maybe 2.25 tires. my gut says the 25mm would be just fine and my head says 30mm is more progressive for the industry. thoughts?
  18. its easy. this https://www.specialized.com/za/en/hotwalk-carbon/p/188009?color=303781-188009&searchText=94021-0005
  19. I have an issue with the top part of the site not being visible when viewing someones profile. see the attached. i have scrolled as high as i can. using the latest Chrome browser on mac.
  20. Oh this service is gold. Well done!
  21. Yep. the after sales service at Ikambi is the best i've experienced.
  22. This is nice to hear, as an old boy i am definitely going to give the leaderboard a go on the XCO loop. is it possible on a CX bike or is a MTB the better choice? CX makes for a nicer ride from my home as its mostly tar.
  23. i get the feeling the Supercaliber is a perfect XC machine when being ridden at the highest level. it would be to focused a machine for 95% of the population who need to also do marathon and stage event racing. Great looking bikes, you have my enve. i'd have one in a heartbeat that i would use for short racing only. but for everything else i'd like something more forgiving
  24. I know Parlee charges USD100 per hour for custom paint. most bikes are between 4-6 hours of work.
