  1. Points are added for every km (20 XP) or mile (30 XP) you ride. Points are added soon after each km or mile ticks over, unless you are in workout mode, where points are added after you complete a block. You will see a small alert to the right of your center console when points are added. Sorry, America: since a kilometer is equal to .621 miles, you will accumulate XP slightly faster if you ride in metric units. (100km=2,000 XP, while the equivalent mileage, 62.13=1864 XP.) You also get additional XP for the Large or Small Bonus power ups, and 10 points when you complete a KOM or sprint section.

  3. i agree entirely. i've called guys, agreed i am happy to buy provided i get some extra info. only to be told later they sold it in these cases i assume i have dodged a bullet, dodgy selling i correlate to dodge items.
  4. oh ya. its eats my new MB Pro battery in an Hour. very resource hungry
  5. On a positive note. Thanks to the organisers for the medals. they are really nice
  6. No stress, most okes get the moer in when a ballie on a SS passes them! - me included. he put 100m into me closing the gap from group 2 to group 1 on chappies before he fell. he was pushing 370W the uphills are actually ok on a SS, it is the fast downhill sections with the wind on our backs that SS riders struggle. Spin hard + tuck. Repeat. SS. Fixie you have to have a few screws loose to ride
  7. Nice one! i managed a 3h2m44s in & group. was shattered from fighting the wind. i think our group was all in all very well behaved i was 4th wheel on the right hand side. something happened at the front on the left and people when down. someone drifted so fast to the right to avoid the crash and took out a guy in front on me - i was lucky, i just missed him as he skidded across towards us. the guy next to me hit him square and came down. was a nasty sounding crash! Enter my father! 64 year old multiple SA champ across multiple disciplines. looking to win his category for amashova, argus and 94.7 on a SS with a 50/17 gearing. he was climbing chapmans peak coming past riders as he was getting on top of the gear. someone swerved right in front of him and took his front wheel out. pedals, bars, frame, shoes, shirt, phone all stuffed. shoulder very sore and plenty skin missing. he admits he should have given more space and the crash is as much his fault as the guy who switched him. as for you expecting him to fall. shame on you.
  8. Arrived in CT last night. The weather is foul. Blowing up a gail. Thoughts about riding this am have quickly evaporated - I'm in bed still drinking a second cup of coffee contemplating my next move
  9. park at Boswell Circus. nice warm up ride in and out. working toilets and a great place to have a recovery coffee and food.
  10. any XS road frames going to be available to demo?
  11. where did you find the pics? nothing on the action in motion webpage as yet...
  12. got a one liner response from Racetec - "no chip, no time" gave them my Garmin file, strava link, and contact details of a rider that finished with me. bummer
  13. Happened at around 52km. my mate Luis. He is ok, a fractured rib and some skin off his arm. i'm sure he is going to be feeling it today. from what i hear he is very lucky to get off as well as he did. his bike is toast though.
  14. So i had a great ride! 3rd in the sprint in AL. No time as i lost my chip somewhere in my car and eventually ran out of time looking and had to start without it. Didn't think it was much of an issue as i never expected a result. What a fail! Nice riding with the guys in the front.
  15. does anyone have a list of the start times?
  16. Monday sick wife - head cold. Wednesday i'm sick - head cold, wife is still not right - possibly moving to her chest. i'm meant to be racing this Sunday. joy. might have a fast one entry up for grabs if i'm not right
  17. let me know if it continues to hold pressure after your first ride. so far my experience is the plug that forms using the above method comes loose on the first ride, or blows out as you pump the tires up to pressure
  18. i've started a pinterest board with ideas..
  19. So there is a 99% chance i am going to get my old Look 586 ISP resprayed by Bogus. it's now 10 years old and i think a new spray job would really do a world of good. plus, how cool are his paintjobs! the difficult part is trying to figure out what to spray the bike. as the frame is so old i do not really need it to say LOOK on the sprayjob. that said it is nice to show off that it is a quality bike and that it is cheapy fongkong. i'm thinking more a new take on a classic colour scheme. i'm not to interested in emulating any "newer" looking colours schemes. i'd like it to be a total once off(or replica) beauty. any ideas or thoughts would be greatly appreciated here is a old pic of the bike. its currently built up with Sram Red Etap and will remain with Etap. Roval CLX50 wheels.
  20. You are a scholar and a gentleman. i tip my wine glass to you Sir!
  21. Does this help in getting a tire off the rim? i usually can get a tire on, but really struggle to get them off
  22. that would be great! and looks perfect. really appreciate the help my plan was mainly for wine. i also have a couple nice whiskeys that i might want to display. the lighting in the room is already on a dimmer so i can get the atmosphere just right
  23. exactly. its the same with any decent wooden option. i fully understand that wood is not cheap. but it seems as soon as you mention wine the price triples
  24. oh thats magical. i saw something very similar at decorex. stunning and simplistic. but at over R100k for my little room it was a total laugh
  25. its a nice idea, just not very efficient on a wine bottle to area ratio i have limited space to work with... its also sort of a feature room so i feel wood would make for the best finish
