  2. Have you fallen again?!?!
  3. 1 MILLION EURO WORTH THEFT IN SELLE SAN MARCO <img border="0/" style="border: 0px;" /> Saddles worth about 1 million euro have been stolen from Selle San Marco warehouses in Rossano Veneto (VI) during the night between Friday November 29th and Saturday 30th. This is the market value of the 6.000 saddles stored in more than 300 boxes ready to be shipped, that the thieves robbed introducing themselves within the factory after having forced the gate of the shipment storehouse, which is located on the back. High-end saddles as the top 2014 model Aspide Superleggera, all the Carbon FX models with Carbon rails and the Racing models. Besides the theft, it remains to evaluate now the unexplained damage caused by acts of vandalism to products left in stock. Further investigation are still ongoing. A terrible blow for our company, worldwide famous for the production of hand-made saddles for bicycles. The unfortunate incident happened, in fact, at an important moment of the process of delivery of the new 2014 models, which are proving to be very successful in the market. Investigators believe that the stolen goods can now be outside of the Italian national territory, but they are unlikely to be sold because the saddles have a warranty hologram and ID numbers of each product under the shell. At this time the company is checking the details of the codes involved. Selle San Marco apologizes in advance with their customers for the disruption that they will suffer in the upcoming days because of this. Unfortunately, it is in fact necessary a reorganization and a repurchase of components to process the orders and to realize them again and this will cause inevitable delays. The staff of Selle San Marco will try to answer as soon as possible to the countless e-mails that we are receiving in these days. The company also asked to point out toinfo@sellesanmarco.it the products that in the market may have too low prices and any suspicious situations. Everything will remain anonymous. The Girardi family, owner of the company, wants to thank the police for the timely intervention and all suppliers, friends and supporters, for the many signs of nearness that it has already received.
  4. Try Grebel. He is on the Hub.
  5. Never. Because I had an off previously. Petrified.
  6. Because over the years I have purchased many items of clothing and other goods since the inception of the Company. Make sense................??
  7. probably because you have never owned as much FA gear as I have in your life. There has always been a niggle in the quality. For the same price you can get better. If you are in CT then no problem, replacement is easier? Try posting etc - not worth the hassle for what you get.
  8. Rocket kit is great but they have made a big mistake with First ascent. Terrible stuff, badly made, no quality checks. I have always had a problem with FA but Rocket =100%
  9. Now you know where all the "stolen" bikes are going. The ongoing saga will never stop. Sorry to be negative but the reality itself is negative with no way out. "War" is when two parties on opposite sides are fighting for the same thing. It is war out there. Gang war at that. Zip, Sweet bug.. ..all .we can do as we are at war and need to fight back? Just saying.
  10. I understand where you are coming from but RUN, bloody hell, I can hardly walk! Pse keep us informed of the findings iro circulation because I think I am going the same way? Good to be armed with options when I go to the the orthopod again. That "splash curtain" man. Absolute horrors.
  11. Don'frighten me!!!! Pse keep us informed of the outcome.
  12. Good man! Hope it is a good recovery. I am petrified of falling (again) so just ride for the enjpyment now and I am thankful I am able to do so. The doc told me cycling was good for circulation so I was on a trainer 6wks after both of my ops. My leg is still weak but expected I suppose. After a long ride the leg goes numb so it is my guess something was cut which was not supposed to be cut - circulation? Good luck and hang in!
  13. Yip, I was worried about that. I cannot walk far without pain but no pain onthe bike. The doc said I should carry on because it is not weight bearing. Did not have replacements though. This is a different scenario I guess?
  14. Good point. I have not had hip replacements but was advised to as I broke the ball off inside my hip. I am back on my bikes if this is any consolation. (and I am considered a 'bullet" with regard to age only.
  15. Switch ALL your lights on and pedal!
  16. Are you for real!!
  17. Yip, update is three days old. Done by Garmin.
  18. I have the very same problem. The 800 says "multiple HR monitors detected" Yes or no? Still cannot work it out.
  19. After stuffing up my Garmin 800 I took it to the old Garmin place as Bush Goblin suggested. (Many thanks for the heads up) What a pleasure! GREAT service and cock-ups repaired in no time. Also purchased some accessories at the same price I was going to get from Evans Cycles. Updated my maps, made a copy (in case I stuff up again) all for a measly sum of cash. Gift knows his job and I cannot recommend them highly enough. Great pleasure to do business with them - new shop is better than before.
  20. Useless, corrupt police and government. Flipping sue me you pathetic bunch. I am bloody tired of all this. I will shoot back - I am going to carry from now on. I am so pissed off I could do a little pay back right now. Cowards, bastards etc!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  21. Excellent! Thanks to all. I downloaded a map and the memory is too full to accept anything so has "stalled" the unit. Not to familiar with this hitec stuff. We were not even allowed a calculator when I was at school! Appreciate the help.
  22. Is there someone in Durban who does in-house map loading on an Edge 800 in Durban? I have tried myself but seem to have cocked the whole thing up so would appreciate it if anyone could supply me with the contact details of the new "agents" With thanks.....
