my 2c i tried quite a few saddles.gobi etcall of them were 143mm wide.until i tried a specialised avatar 155mm.it all depends on your sit bones.try a few before you buy and def see if you can get a test saddle.

hmmm.i use them with riser bars as well and cant say i would ever wanna get rid of them.who cares what other people think.if you are comfy with them then do as you please.different strokes for different folks
