  1. The mountain is usually pretty busy during these times so you should be alright safety wise, particularly in the even. The trails on Loins Head are not legal for riding and at your times you could piss off a few trail runners who will probably give you a talking to. Also the SanParks guys seem to spend more time Lions Head side so illegal riding is more likely to cost you a R500 fine. As the times you are out are peak times you are likely to see SanParks guys and maybe asked for your Activity Card though I have yet to expereince it.
  2. This is retarded.
  3. Stoke Suspension also carry them
  4. Neither did I
  5. Neither did I
  6. For all the rude and inconsiderate cyclists out there it is good to see some balance in the universe.

    Greyton Tour

Anyone done this tour? People seem to be complementary. I am interested to know how much single track is included. Don't want to have kilometer after kilometer of jeep track. http://www.mtb-adventures.co.za/index.php?id=61
  8. Mine also moved around like this.

    Houw Hoek Tour

Fair point, it is a pain for someone with technical skills who isn't a racing snake.

    Houw Hoek Tour

Riders ability at the back is also an issue. Long queues for very simple sections of ST.
  11. Same story happening all around the Atlantic Sea Board. People in pairs in matching kit on mountain bikes with big hoops. Can't wait to have a pissed off motorist take out his / her frustrations out on me.
  12. I asume that when you refer to MTB you are excluding downhill and the full face helmets. Besides the visor MTB helmets often have more protection at the back of the head and the size and shapes of the venst are different to promote airflow at lower speeds. The road helmet vents aid airflow at higher speeds.
  13. I have had similar problems, rather let it expire and then subscribe again.
  14. Is your husband still riding this? How has the long term review been? Did he get a 650b fork or just use a 26' fox?
  15. Oh if for more money....
  16. I have a 26" zula. Switching from 100mm to 120mm travel made an awesome diff. The 650B zula does look very good.
  17. I am looking for a 3L camelbak bladder in Cape Town but struggling to find one. Cape Union Mart and Sportsmans warehouse cant help me. Aldo cant find online locally. Any help?
  18. Wait for an XL bike, while they are not readily found they also do not sell quickly so you can negociate.
  19. Very nice
  20. I weigh over 100kgs and have had issues with mavic hubs. In their defence when they have had issues they have all been sorted and even replaced at no cost to me. The full tubeless rims are awesome. I have been riding crosstrails. Agree with the hope hub advice. Use them on my other bike with ztr arch rims and have not had issues with dt swiss spokes.
  21. I picked one up recently at Cyclelab in Cape Town
  22. WTB wolverine 2.2 on the back. 2.3 Bronson on the front.
  23. It always amazes me how many knobs are on bikes giving everyone a bad name. Another example.
  24. Very impressive
  25. Also keen to join in
