  1. Emailed the suppliers. It's not just Specialized, also; Colnago Look DeRosa Williers Cervelo
  2. Which is also why at the very beginning it's mentioned "the organisers have made one The Munga entry available to the top TREAD Buffalo Category team at next week’s Isuzu Trucks PE-Plett four-day stage race." And also halfway down. “We’ve chosen the Isuzu Trucks PE-Plett event to give away that The Munga TREAD Buffalo entry"
  3. It's criminal. He's a ******* box End of.
  4. Actually there's an entire thread where your questions are answered, easy enough to search. Fedgroup did also release a full statement too.
  5. Grant Usher at Sprocket and Jack .... because he's forgotten more than many will know. Plus he's a mullet, a complete and utter mullet. Plus he rides a singlespeed, no one is perfect. 45 Chester Road, Rosebank.
  6. Just over 100km worth of incredible trails and some of the sweetest singletrack through indigenous terrain! www.alloutadventures.co.za Chris Mecklenborg, top bloke
  7. A reasonable person wouldn't really care. Which paths? There's plenty kids riding, they don't really care, they're just being care free. Commuters riding through Delta, they and runners etc etc must now what stick to the contour path and winding singletrack created by MTBers. Why? For the most part all the lines are still there, often new ones, straighter ones even, form due to rain and what not. There are actually bigger, more important things to look at on the Spruit. In SA, could name a good few people who could actually ... or is this one of those self loathing saffa comments.
  8. Oh but of course you were
  9. It's a suburban green belt, not a dedicated biking trail. Something quite unique to Jhb and awesome in it's own right. All kinds use it, including people who will never ever ride their bikes elsewhere, or only ever ride on the odd occasion for say maybe 15km of any of the Spruit. When many of the preening strava manne and rats, lycra'd, baggied and all wheelsizes can comprehend this, they might actually realise what it means to cycle. So please, don't get too precious over 'your' lines.
  10. Considering Manjray was formerly board chairperson of SAIDS. According to Galant, they did.
  11. Relatively broad salary scale, it's a decent pay cheque for a junior designer though. Especially at the higher end and considering the odd bit of overtime. Sent to a friend of mine, his sister just graduated graphic design and actually has a preference for working with vector based design. As well as a diploma from LISOF apparently. Plus she's a keen cyclist.
  12. Twice a week, hour max. Also helps break up the routine of training. Not that i have much of a routine
  13. Why? Because he stood up for himself and he's 100% correct? Or because the facts have been laid out and speaks for themselves? Or because you're a bully? All of the above? Sorry, but your post reminds of those going after the public protector after she published the Nkandla report. Same mentality.
  14. As a rule of thumb the rider in front owns the trail; Marathon; When passing on wider sections it's polite just to warn a rider that you are passing so that they know you're there, in case they change their line. If you're on a singletrack section, you must wait until you can safely pass the rider. Check your 'skillz' with your ego. Just say "track when you can please" and wait a bit. If you're being passed on singletrack, check your 'ownership' of the trail with your ego. If that means interrupting your 'flow' for a second to allow a rider/s to pass. It's fine, you'll make it up easily. Cross Country; More often than not if you're stuck behind a rider, you're racing in the same cat. Too bad pal "track" does not apply unless you're lapping someone or behind another rider in another discipline. Other than those two scenarios, you have to wait behind that rider until you see or make an opportunity to attack and pass.
  15. Best is to contact Felt directly, last I heard they're no longer brought in by a local supplier. http://www.feltbicycles.com/International/Single-Nav/Inside-Felt/Company/Contact-Us.aspx
  16. It has to be a pre 1990/9 South African steel framed bike.
  17. Craft, Cape Storm, First Ascent etc all make good and reasonably priced ones. Mates of mine did this (Hunter Cycles) , the weather and wind really tested humour levels out there. Awesome looking event, definitely keen on this next year.

  19. So tempting!
  20. Mate of mine reckons he quite liked the 'subtle' pink bits, would consider buying it. Strangest thing, he fell down the river bank afterwards
  21. FYI ... both Victor and Patrick also lived and worked in Asia to get an understanding of the culture, processes and manufacturing there. Even lodged in one of the factories amongst the regular workforce. Not many product managers or engineers worldwide who have done that. Wondering when Saffers generally will break out of this 'we're not good enough' mentality. For Nix, blondie and other pink activists, there may be a 2015 offering in white and red. Tres awesome ne
  22. Laugh. Loudly.
