I think the Maxxis High Roller 2.35 (front and back) is a good compromise for AM riding. Rolls reletively quickly (for those damn climbs) and grips like snot for the more important fun bits. Also not too heavy (I've got the LUST version).

Go for the Cruz then. You haven't had a VPP bike yet, so give that a bash. I think the media reviews on the TRc is in any event slightly better than those of the SLR.

Although the Morewood Zula is a 100mm frame, it rides like it's got more travel. Mine has a 120mm fork and goes like the clappers. So I'd throw that in the mix as well.

Martin is mos a purist.... believes that carbon is from the devil and that all Intense's must be in alu form. So Cap, I think you're wasting your time.

Ja time will tell. But I think they'll be fine. I've seen what Fabien Barel does on Crossmax SLR's and if they can hold up with that type of riding, then I'm sure the SX's will be more than fine with whatever you can chuck at them.

You not interested in simply buying a full wheelset? If so, Mavic Crossmax ST's are really nice for trail riding.

Hie hie...ja ongelukkig is Tokai weer 'n bietjie uit die pad vir my, en die rede hoekom ons eerder baie tyd in JH spandeer. Maar ons sal 'n plan maak. Ag wat as Kraai inferior equipment wil gebruik is dit sy probleem.

Martin, ons het ongelukkig reeds 'n ride in Jonkers gereel, maar sal kyk of ek die ouens se arms kan draai. Een van my riding buddies het die Tracer 2, so die club groei darem so bietjie. As daai blerrie Kraai ook net sy gat in rat wil kry...
