  1. Those SWB Pajeros are nice, but a little too small. Almost like an oversized Jimny
  2. Yeah droo at stoke services mine!!
  3. For me the diamond is set and forget. It has 6 clicks low speed compression, 29 High speed compression, 20 rebound and 14 Off The Top settings. I see the Beryl has a 3 way OTT which is internally adjustable. No high speed compression and 3 low speed compression settings which will be climb being the firmest, firm and downhill. And of course rebound. Seems it much simpler to tune.
  4. and succumb to having parts or even the entire vehicle stolen!!!! I wont lie, I owned a fortuner once, and out of all my cars, this was the only and most broken into. The spare wheel and mirror have been stolen twice. I got rid of it after 4 years.
  5. I have a diamond. Its a beast of a fork. I am comparing to fox 36, 34, rs revelation and older Marzocchi. I have struggled with the competitors forks, but I am real happy now. Not sure how the beryl stacks up tho as it doesnt have all the adjustments that the diamond has. If you dont mind the basic settings on it, then the rest is very similar to the diamond, and you could possibly like it.
  6. My favourite is when people reply to an add and they say my number is ..... call me!!! Like really. I am probably loosing out on sales, but if you cant afford a call, then you cant afford what I am selling.
  7. A group trip in a caravelle or similar would be awesome. I would like to do this event, but not this year. Maybe next year, if I start buckling down for some serious training. Weekend day hikes and rides are not enough!!
  8. I was planning on doing it. Then I shattered my elbow a few months ago, and my fitness is now non existent. It was already fairly bad prior to my fall. I think @Thermophage did this one a couple of years back.
  9. I keep telling my friends, that I would much sooner buy a motorbike over a bicycle, especially and ebike. They cant seem to understand why. They also have never ridden motorbikes.
  10. Thats why I mainly use yellow or orange lenses. Yellow seems to work the best for me.
  11. https://dvillecyclery.co.za/product-category/apparel/eyewear/darcs-eyewear/ I will be buying D' arcs next time I need new shades. They have some nice designs and very reasonable prices
  12. Some oil on the cam lever and lightly grease the axle will do no harm
  13. We have a shop on the corner a few houses away. They are way more expensive than most garage shops including other shops. Most people in our area go to spar down the road instead.
  14. Yep, it is very true. Shaving a 0.01ml per liter probably. I have noticed this at some petrol stations, but it so easy to program those pumps to display what is needed. It is petrol and diesel, but I am not sure if it is as much as you say. The pumps display literage with about 4 decimal numbers, so instead of getting say 2 liters for your R48 you get 1.9457. I have asked for 40 liters of fuel already, the attendants get very confused when you do this.
  15. What happened to "this city works for you"?
  16. Ebike trailer anyone?
  17. Does anyone have a treefrog or similar that I can lend or hire for the weekend? preferably for a thru axle sorted!
  18. We had one many years ago, so currently I dont know. I know when we stay at the overnight hikers cabins, those gas geysers use d cell batteries for the ignitor. Hopefully one would be able to use a lighter.
  19. Solar geysers are best during summer. I have 2 now for a good few years, around the time the rebate was offered we installed. During winter the best time for hot water is during the afternoon or not at all if the weather is bad. I am wanting to install a gas geyser for winter, as the load shedding at 6am does not help too have hot water to shower. I know a few people who have done this and it wors brilliantly. If I had to redo the solar, I would just install a gas geyser. But looking at the times, who knows where we gonna be with gas in the future.
  20. This is what I have. the 720 https://mecer.co.za/ivr-1200lbks-12v-power-inverter/ I think the Battery is toast. I will see what I can get to replace or ad on
