  1. I havent checked whatas available. I just have an idea of what I want to do. The only other stuff I want to ad is the fridge and freezer. Lights are sorted and have been since loadshedding started. Believe it or not, I still use the same 120ah battery to run 12v 10 watt lights, anywhere from 2 to 4 depending how much we need. I want to put that on a solar panel as well.
  2. I was working on 1600 or maybe 2000.
  3. Alright so after no joy with the supplier of my my inverter battery box, I swopped out the battery with an 80ah I have. It works extremely well. It does not even use a quarter of the battery power running a 46" led tv, ematic tv box and wifi. Now I have proven to the supplier their cheap battery is faulty and they finally replacing it today. Anyway now I want to get another invertor system to run my fishtanks. I used to breed fish but since loadshedding has F'd me around I have cut down from 20 tanks to 2 running show tanks and I have 3 more which are empty(future plans). So this is the consumption of the equipment watts 400 36 160 300 35 30 5 160 What invertor do I need and ad a solar panel to eventually. Once I have the panel running I want to be able to draw power during the day and use the batteries in the evening.

  5. Healing takes time! Just as long as you remain positive, take your time.
  6. I have already checked google in and out for the best possible coating for what I want to do. First choice and I am gonna be doing it is Shou Sugi Ban. Now the thing is I want to seal it even though Shou Sugi Ban should be effective enough. Google says epoxy floor sealer as it will soak into the wood and harden. I am thinking probably just use Marine Varnish over it instead.
  7. So Ihave a small project and I am wanting to use clear epoxy to coat the wood. However I have no idea which one to use. Any recommendations please?
  8. Why have the flattened all those dunes? Safety reasons?
  9. I wonder how long the op has been cycling or even his ability to work on bicycles. As it seems the op did a google search and thats the answer received. Op please realise that on this forum there is hundreds of years of experience from weekend warrior, diy mechanics to professionals. All the advice you have received so far is legit!!
  10. Yes I have seen that, but didnt want to comment. That to me indicates it could be that the rim tape has pulled away from the edge, possibly due to a flat or underinflated tyre.
  11. Havent been cycling much lately. Been fishing and also slowly getting back into the water to bodyboard. Over the last 3 weekends I have ended up here twice, because the curator is an old friend of mine( we go way back) and his wife happened to be in my class through High school. Also my wife trades here most weekends, but seeing as my Moms family is originally from Simons Town and Claremont the opportunity to just look through the history is awesome. This past weekend just reopened my eyes to the fact that there are still struggles out there proving that some people just dont change in regards to racial abuse etc.
  12. When a tyre is plugged on the sidewall then you should be concerned, But then you could use dental floss, a patch or gaitor on the inside and superglue
  13. I am 2 years on a plugged tyre. No issues at all.
  14. or a bling car valve cap or 3d print if possible https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4786274 https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4665736
  15. Is it gonna be a hit? I might need to stock up on them retracting tape measures!!
  16. 20% on the rear shock. But it also dependant on what you want the rear to do. I could never run my fox shocks at anything more than 20% sag and then it would constantly hit the bottom out rubber. Even at 20% depending on how big the hit is.
  17. as above try 25% sag. you could even go 20
  18. My bikes wheelbase is around 170cm. Thule dont have a solution unless I DIY.
  19. Yep, same problem with mine. Longer straps do work but still effective for me. I even contacted Thule about an extension, but nothing available. I am now looking at adding either a longer platform or getting an ezrack
  20. This and his family. It is usually very successful.
