thats fine bud until you find yourself at cape epic with a cracked rocker on the santa cruz as i did. had to rely on helicopter tape to get me home as the agents were not there and hardly made and effort to help me (my shop tried hard). any of the top brands are well represented at all major events, part of the cost goes towards that - a premium i am happy to pay. buy a niche brand and enjoy your cool status, but know if **** goes down you are on your own.

Hi guys anyone have problems with Ant+ and sync with Strava after uploading new Garmin Express? neither my garmin 510/500 sync with strava (not recognised) garmin 910 xt - ant + dongle now does pick up and strava does not pick up! please help!

hi guys anyone out there who owns or has been on a methanol 29 fs? is it on par with the top racing full suss bikes? (spez, trek, cannondale) benchmarking against SWorks Epic specifically. battling to even find any tangible reviews beyond 'day 1 impressions'.

i rode my tallboy 2 at epic this year. not to exaggerate but the frameset made mince meat out of the terrain. the climbing was limited only by my legs...for a non racing geometry my baby flew. i would love to throw XX1, some lighter components and the new CTD forks onto it to really turn it into a racing beast.

personally i would not bother spending the money on a new fork/wheel combo unless you ride DH or a lot of free ride. would be interesting to get stats on how many guys rode masters champs with QRs and how many had failure. Santa Cruz moved to 142mm in rear due to pressure than any other need, if you read their posts they dont feel that there is a marked benefit.

QR is quicker to remove/reinstall wheel during a race, it weighs less, with a good wheel and QR there should be no noticeable movement unless you are hitting serious DH or bombing down at Grand Raid. personally for epic i rode with 1 15mm thru axl, sani 2 c did happily on my QR.

hope this will put an end to public training displays of performance...hide in the mountains like Ulrich and train yourself silly, then kick ass face to face at a race.

for pure racing you want a narrower bar. if you are on a full sus and a weekend warrior my bet is on a wider handlebar for more control and leverage on climbs.

my mate has one, pros: lighter, better stronger chain, no chain suck. you spin out on the flats. on uphills you still have a granny gear so ok there. depends what you want it for and how strong you are.
