  1. In my experience outsurance is a massive ripoff. They wanted to charge me R2500 a month on a Z4 while my current insurer was R1100. I now pay R2700 a month for two cars, two bikes, and home contents.
  2. Get a quote for comprehensive cover as part of your home owners insurance. R100k Evil and R65k Specialized covered for about R450 a month.
  3. Thanks so much. I can find a lot of riders that start in Midstream and do a variation of it but not the actual route.
  4. I had a look on Trailforks and the map is a bit outdated. Segments such as Flow Track isn’t there and various segments are unnamed.
  5. Mostly entertaining. Thank you.
  6. I need the ride on Strava specifically for segment names, route profile etc.
  7. I want to do the 42km, not the 3km
  8. Can anyone please share a strava ride of the 42km route? Keen to try it out tomorrow.
  9. I miss my swift so much. Would have been the perfect base for a gravel bike. Even with the Ragley Carnegie bars.
  10. Still a UX disaster on mobile.
  11. Your car dealer still purchases stock from head office and adds a markup. Same as your bike shop buy from a supplier and adding markup. Both of these also has a workshop that you can choose to have fit the parts for you. You can’t approach BMW headoffice to purchase a specialty tool to adjust brake calipers or parts for that matter. They won’t sell you. I disagree that a supplier should sell direct. It doesn’t work this way. No supplier would be stupid enough to cannibalize their own dealer network. No shop would support them it they sold direct and undercutting their shops. The only stupid part is saying that it’s stupid for suppliers to no sell direct.
  12. I have one too to donate out. Just need to find it. Batteries will need replacing but they should work still.
  13. Lebanon up to the tower in Howick is pretty heavy. 6.5% grade over 5.6km and 353m climbing that just drags it out of you.
  14. I have an 11-34 (XT I think) with a matching chain for you if that will help.
  15. For meals I don’t like to do a “one pot” dish. We do a lot of Mexican dishes, wraps, pizzas, curries etc and I love to cook. Ingredients are layered together and meals are assembled instead of just mixed together and dishes up. Fish actually makes up maximum one meal a week for me. I am very close to switching to plant based entirely. Just need to find a good alternative to cheese. Milk was easy with soya milk from Milklab. Eggs don’t feature too often. Less than once a week. Discovering herbivohr and frys etc made it a lot easier.
  16. The pastrami with some baby spinach, tomato, and basil pesto makes a great sandwich.
  17. Ah ok. We order from VeganThings.co.za
  18. Oof. I remember those. Some scary **** people did.
  19. Fat is not the enemy though. Refined carbs and processed sugar is.
  20. R129.99 this side at Woolies. Definitely keen to try them. We've been buying from Herbi Vohr recently. (https://herbivohr.wixsite.com/herbivohr) Really impressed with the pulled pork and pastrami. Great for wraps, sandwiches, and pizza. The biltong is pretty spot on too. Keen to try the bacon. Avoid the steak though. It's really weird.
  21. Try Tinder
  22. I’ve tried the patties before but for everything else it’s Linda McCarhy or Fry’s
  23. I'm 99% pescatarian and since switching to this diet I find that if I have meat the night before a ride that I'm sluggish and bloated on the ride. I hate how my body feels while I digest red meat. Chicken not so much. But a bacon and cheese burger once in long while after a long hard ride just hits the spot when it's washed down with a good craft beer.
  24. Bacon
  25. It won’t take long for a DNG converter to pop up for the raw files. Need to see if they work with Capture One. Mmm
