  1. I’m sorry Tuan but your post makes trusting you even harder. I’m sure there is some wood to be fetched somewhere else.
  2. Leopards and spots...
  3. Pricing was also too good to be true. 50% discounts, R999 deals. I almost fell for this to surprise my fiancé with a “tour” Shame on you Tuan. But i’ve seen your MO so many times. You take the money, cancel the event, and when called out you refund or claim to refund one person to restore the faith. Or is this a case of taking money from Peter to pay back Paul? Needless to say I feel that Admin should be looking into you a lot closer.
  4. Ah... the wood fetcher
  5. Ended the year on my hardest and fastest ride. Great way to celebrate my return to riding six months ago. This is exactly how I still feel. Legs up and a little dizzy nursing a good beer ???? Speedy 2020.1 to you all
  6. Can we do a Zoom call instead?
  7. I see a lot of nothing in that video to be honest. I see a lot crying in the post though.
  8. Did you run into any of those fern looking plants that grow into the trail and turns out belongs to the devil himself? I went up to the Lebanon fire tower one afternoon and descended through Gauntlet, Sahara, and Voodoo Lounge. Then from the top (as far as my legs could go) I went down Windsong. More of them there. By the time I got back to the club both my arms and legs were bleeding and my shirt was looking less than ideal. Sorry about your crash man. You didn't run out of talent from the sounds of it. More like ran out of bike.
  9. Brilliant. Already booked accommodation for Easter Weekend. Definitely going to tackle the 37km. Two segments that I definitely want to hit is The Bachelor and Isikhova. Hopefully dry trails this time.
  10. I'm not even sure where I made it. By the time I climbed to the top / start of the blue trail for the 23km I couldn't even think straight anymore. From there I picked up a jump/flow line that kept going and going and going. I took that all the way to the bottom and out to the car park. It looked fairly well ridden so I doubt it was the new section.
  11. mmmm. I should have added my Wahoo Kickr & Sufferfest subscription... That made a huge difference and helped me drop the 12kg I did since July.
  12. I was worried about the thickness at first. I'm a size L/XL glove and it worked out just perfectly. Well worth it.
  13. Quick trip out to Wolwespruit on Monday. Some serious leg breaker climbs towards 10km but the flow track heading down to the start is well worth it. Yesterday was a trip out to Red Barn to sharpen up some skill on technical and jumping.
  14. I've had great results with my old Hero+ running a chest mount. Surprisingly stable. I run the GoPro upside down on the mount to get my angle perfect. I edit in Premier on desktop and LumaFusion on iPad.
  15. Can't comment of the Death Grips to be honest. I initially bought the Evil to match my bike and I fell in love with them. So did my fiance when her Specialized grips ripped in a crash. Another point I always consider is having a lock jaw on both sides of the grip. Better protects the rubber and spreads the clamping force a lot better. I think Evil is 3 or 4nm
  16. I was hoping to inspire others to do the same. Looking forward to it.
  17. Your shopping lists would make Gee Milner have a happy accident. I loved following your last build. It was a tough choice for this year because I have so many other bits I can throw in like the OneUp bars, XTR derailleur and shifter etc. I didn’t want to write a Top 50 ????
  18. It has been a very expensive 6 months already. Had to replace derailleur, chain, chainring. All at 1000km. The SunRace MZ903 cassette im using has a niggle right in the middle of the cassette 21/24t that no amount of fiddling can get rid of. After some research it seems like spacing on the gears isn't quite perfect from the factory. That is pretty much the only reason I want to replace the cassette.
  19. Fair points about swopping in links as needed. Will most likely be the approach i take. For now I can only hope my existing cassette lasts at least another 12 months before this dilemma needs to be faced. Maybe Lyne comes to the party with a Microspline driver for the high engagement hubs so I can run the XT 10-51 cassette and not need a new chain.
  20. What a crock of ****. Want to change your setup for a race then you have to buy a new chain just to use a different chainring. I miss 9 speed. Won’t lie.
  21. I’ll end up with 3 quick links in a row if I want change my cassette to a 10-52 and go from 30t to 32t chainring. Heaven forbid i want to go for a 34t chainring. That can’t possibly be the correct way of lengthening a 12 speed chain.
  22. What else does he claim you took off? Speak to Nick or Admin about it. I’m sure they can help to remove the rating after investigating.
  23. So how do you add 2 or 4 extra links to a 12 speed chain?
  24. Swinging a wrench is my way of relaxing. So is cleaning bikes, and keeping my pride and joy in pristine condition. For someone else taxidermy offers the same relaxation. While some things like a sealant change or cable replacement might be super easy to do not everyone wants to do it and would rather pay to have it done. I'm fully capable of fixing roof leaks but thanks to acrophobia I choose not to do it and would rather pay someone else to fall off my roof.
