  1. I'm selling a Canon 7D. I will ask him to confirm his interest in the Nikon D850.
  2. Whatsapp has no profile picture and no custom status message. Granted not everyone sets these up but it makes me doubt that this is a permanent number. First up the standard questions to show interest. - What is the present condition. - Can you send photos. Both could easily be answered by looking at the Facebook marketplace advert. In this case I'll write this one off due to the wife responding to the advert.
  3. Good morning all. I'm selling a camera on Facebook and I was contacted with the following scam. Marg messaged me asking to Whatsapp her husband Barend. He is interested in the camera. Clicked through to her profile which has the following issues. 1. The URL is https://www.facebook.com/siphokuhle.mananga.359. Definitely not Marg. 2. The profile pic is a dude. Definitely not Marg. Nothing shows up in Google image search for him. 3. Marg has no friends. 4. Marg joined Facebook in October from the looks of it. 5. The DM went straight to SPAM on market place. Then... the number for Barend immediately pops up as a scammer in Trucaller. Another red flag. The number is 0788150559. Nothing pops up in a Google search for it. Now I've seen the "please contact my husband via Whatsapp" MO. You can't phone the husband. He kills the call. Clearly Barend has a bit of an accent that makes you wonder about the origins of said Barend. Which is why he isn't taking calls. I will play along for a little bit and expose the finer details of the scam. While this isn't related to the hub it might help someone else in future.
  4. That is excellent news. Thanks so much. Appreciate all the feedback.
  5. Thanks so much. Good to know the local importers stand behind their product with great service. Sad about the ESD issue.
  6. A quick google search revealed that a buildup of static electricity can fry the sensors on the Core due to shielding issues. Ouch. Last used it on Friday night with Sufferfest. Quite a vigorous session. I’m really bummed out right now. I’m off the MTB for about two weeks nursing an injury and the IDT was the only training i could do. My Sufferfest 6 week training program begins today as well. I’m going to be an insufferable twat to live with for a while ????
  7. And just like that my Kickr Core stops sending output for power, cadence, and speed. Apparently a known issue with faulty boards or something. Ticket logged with the distributors. Has anyone else had this happen? Is there something I’m maybe missing?
  8. Very interesting observation about the 3:00 pee fest no longer happening. This alone is worth converting to veganism. How old are you if you don't mind me asking. I'm 39 and sometimes I get up twice a night to go let the old snake wander in the pasture.
  9. You mean, you?
  10. And cuts. Amazing how much you can glue together when it comes to the human body.
  11. Could also be Low Balling S***heads when dealing with the classifieds.
  12. Yup. Ibex you can seat with a straw and a pair of lungs. I have to bomb and use a compressor on the Schwalbe's to get them to seat. When I got the 4x4 I bought a proper 160l/min compressor that is adapted to inflate presta valves. Even at that capacity the Schwalbe told me to get stuffed.
  13. A frayed cable end will have strands that fit perfectly under fingernails when you least expect it.
  14. Ummm... Can't you use a 90 degree straight edge to line the stem and top crown up? How does your OCD handle only having one for leg?
  15. still relevant. Get two thin dowels and cable tie them to the fork legs. (not sure if this will work on road bike. Now let these point up past your bars. Measure the distance between the bar and the dowel on each side until you get it spot on. Tighten everything up. The next move is super handy and will ensure that you get it spot on every time after that. Take a pick or a knife or anything sharp and mark the steerer of the fork through the opening of the stem at the back if it has this opening. Now you have the centre of the steerer tube. Next time you install a stem you just line up the marking with the stem opening and you'll have it spot on.
  16. Feeding the troll makes the troll post about his poop. Go see a doctor if you’re worried about what comes out. Wasn’t this thread about what goes in?
  17. Really shitty contribution to the thread. I think fibre intake has a much bigger influence on how regular you will be.
  18. In my previous post in this thread I raved about the Hans Dampf's. I still rate them as excellent tyres but I discovered something that works a little bit better for my riding style. I tore the sidewall on the rear and replaced the set with Onza Ibex 29x2.4 FRC. The past weekend I managed to test them on loose over hard pack, damp, wet, muddy conditions. My findings. Really good in the dry. Hooks up well and is super predictable. I was caught out in a few corners where the Schwalbes would start drifting. Excellent in damp, soft soil. In wet and muddy conditions they faired pretty well. Really good mud shedding and the grip is good enough to not have the bike slide too much. Rolling speed is pretty good. Definitely faster than the Schwalbes. I found myself to be less fatigued in wet and damp conditions where I would normally feel "held back"Good price at R850 a tyre. Beats paying R1195 for the SchwalbesThe 2.4 is a true 2.4 in width. So far so good.
  19. Trails are immaculate and definitely a good workout. Not a lot of interesting features but still a pleasant ride. That downhill by the power line though. Damn.
  20. From dropping the camera and running?
  21. Dig the black. I did mine even if the grip is a bit less than my 5.10s. The sizing is a bit odd. Im a 10 in regular sneakers and the RCs in a 10 is a tad snug. Maybe just the stiffness of new shoes and i’ve only done two rides so far. Happy so far.
  22. Yes it is. Park at Berlouri Barn venue & guest house https://www.facebook.com/Berlouri/
  23. All you need now is the Evil The tubeless setup was a breeze. Never seen a tire seat so easy. I use the compressor from my 4x4 kit and all the tires needed was a constant stream of air to seat. Three pops and they are on. 2.4 is the max my frame can take and I never want to ride with a wider front vs rear combo again. Can't wait to test these out this weekend. I am a bit concerned about the rolling resistance. I'm already slow and I don't need anything else holding me back. I do however prefer good grip over rolling. A loud tire is ok I guess. As long as they are fairly well damped.
  24. Dunno man. Seems a bit too billboardy to me
