Please don’t popularize “down country” The last thing we need is another kind of bike and style of riding our local shops won’t have a clue on how to market. Trail bikes aren’t popular because our local media and shops do not promote it as a segment in the market. It is XC or road. Done.

FNB has some deals on the XS for R999 per month but somehow that seems expensive to me. You can also buy a phone via FNB on the iStore but that goes into your credit card budget at 7%. Agree 100%. In countries where filtering / lane splitting is illegal a bike will sit in that queue. Motorists by nature look out for other cars. Poplap looks up from her latest selfie and sees the car in front move while not paying attention to the bike. So she rear ends it while pulling away. While this may sound like a drinking story around a braai I can assure you it happens more often than not. When you get behind the wheel you put your phone away. As soon as mine connects to the Bluetooth in my car it goes into “do-not-disturb” and all calls are routed through the system. Texts and **** can wait until I get to my destination. What if I’m completely against animal cruelty and the abuse of milk cows but I only drink milk that comes from my cow that is 100% free range (not Woolworths free range) and grain fed etc. What does that make me other than spoiled?

No solution for you but that has to be the shittiest seat clamp design ive ever seen in my life. From the looks of it the clamping point pushes against the post on one side only vs a conventional clamp that applies pressure all round.
