  1. Crap.. Long week. haha 300 kpa or 45 psi
  2. Here's a tip for true BLISS When you get them back inflate both to around 300kpa / 45psi. Let them lie on their sides to help the last little leaks to seal. Keep flipping them over every hour or so. Leave them till morning. Adjust pressure as required. The first 24 hours post conversion is critical.
  3. Hey. Colour combo is 99% of the bike.
  4. New whip will be here next weekend. Doc should give me the ok to ride. Don't want to derail this thread. Will start a new one. If all goes well we can maybe hit Thaba or 139.
  5. All the JHB guys going. Keen on a little DH session end of the month?
  6. Wife beater and skinny jeans dude.
  7. Wife beater and skinny jeans dude.
  8. Hell no. I bought the bike to look all steez-like waiting for a lift. This dude can't ride for ****
  9. Thanks for that. Now I know I have the ride bike for it.
  10. 26"? Long travel? Baggies? Hello. Everybody else... GFA.
  11. Fully agree with you. Selective quoting doesn't really help me here. Hehe
  12. Very I had a lengthy discussion with a rider on Sunday about the merits of 29ers based on his preferences and riding style. A bike is a bike and trail is a trail. The two should meet regularly and lots of fun should be had by all.
  13. Aren't you glad the sport evolved?
  14. No test ride at all?

    Steilte Trails

Exactly what we need more of in Gauteng. Hopefully some new will spring up soon.
  16. Sad really. It is these exact people who refuse to up skill themselves and then dumb down trails by cutting corners, moving rocks and breaking down little jumps on the trails. A large number of riders have successfully dumbed themselves and the sport down to dirt roads thinking it's mountain biking. It isn't. Each to his own though. As long as you enjoy what you do and don't ruin it for the rest then it's all good.
  17. I'm buying the kit that converts your phone into an action camera. Makes good sense to see how much I like the whole video thing. About R1890 including all the mounts I could ever need.
  18. Pyga for me thank you. Support local and it's a damn nice bike.
  19. Shameless free plug. Selling my Fuji Feather 56cm. In mint condition. Pedals upgraded. Available with flat bar with Brooks grips and the original drops. Saddle is a little scruffy but normally the first thing people change anyways. https://www.bikehub.co.za/classifieds/74862-fuji-feather-for-sale-in-randburg/ Price is negotiable.
  20. To give you an idea... I'd drive down every weekend if I had the cash.
  21. Sadly you will never eradicate the inconsiderate people on the trails. Be it walkers, riders, dog walkers, runners etc. I will admit that I have in the past ridden a little bit more out of control than I should have but I stopped, turned back and appologised for being a dick on the trail. It has not happened since. When you see a slower person on your path, slow down or go around them leaving enough space for you to pass safely. With dogs... I tend to go wide or slow down to a crawl. I've had the unfortunate encounter with 2 dogs attacking me in Delta Park before. The owner seemed less interested in the law around leashes in public parks. Emmarentia is rife with people who disregard this. It is up to us as cyclists to be on the lookout for potential accidents waiting to happen as well as being considerate and polite. It is not a race.
  22. RIP. Condolences to you and the family. All the best.
  23. Not quite. While they are incredibly powerful they don't surprise you with the power. They are really well behaved even if you climb on them good and proper. Congrats on the purchase.
  24. So... Only things that changed... New cleats. Suddenly advice is given on shims and this and that. So, is it only me, seven and V12 that sees the real problem? Adjust the cleats until you get back the where you were before.
  25. The Cyclelab option seems reasonable. Have the same question at the moment but a complete bike. Time Freight First Freight Cyclelab All seem to know exactly how to ship a bike. Time to get prices.
