  1. FM for Bell Equipment IIRC...
  2. any news? I also sent a mail but nor reply....
  3. Thanks for sharing... one week before the 5150 in edenvale - I am keen. I wonder just how cold the water is...? See there is also a 1500m option the day after - Sunday 27th. Think I may go for that
  4. Wonder why the change... IMO that makes it more difficult for probably 80% of us. Plus no Gautrain option
  5. I agree, the trade teams give out contracts and pay the Euro's not the countries... and often the team leaders / sprinters impact exactly who gets those contracts and indirectly how many of those euros...
  6. Waterfall estate has 37km either side of the green-belt along the jukskei...
  7. so when is all the good stuff happening then?
  8. So JB has the workshop covered. brad are you going to show them how to do an anual proshop-style firesale?
  9. ja good post. I think I am going to find me one of those BEEEG blades and stick a 12/28 on the back wheel. The eyes will be drawn to the frisbee on the front not whats going on at the back - so its got to up my cred on the start line (admittedly I will be coming off a low base so should not be hard to do)
  10. Ja I think you can set it up to use GPS first and only sensor if no signal. What I do is leave a magnet on the wheel I use for the trainer only, road wheels have no magnet - so I get cadence info but speed only from GPS.
  11. Interesting... that's a beeeeg store. Where on William Nicol - could be hairy for the club rides?
  12. LOL that thought actually crossed my mind yesterday. Lots of beautiful machines out on the cradle on a stunning herritage day.
  13. Sure not easy, but how do you make an informed choice until you have taken a bike for a proper ride? Will give Linden a shout
  14. None of us would buy a car without a proper test drive, but in my experience its very difficult to get hold of a bike for a proper test ride in this country. Are there any LBS's around who do have some demo bikes available?
  15. Such a harrowing account on that link from the guys who came accross him and tried to help. Werner was a 38yr old fit cyclist. Just shows it can happen to anyone. Like someone said above, more of us should brush up on CPR. It seems in this case the people around him did all they good including performing CPR until they got him to paramedics, so it was just his time. RIP
  16. But at some point he's going to have to go downhill. In the rain.
  17. I blame ASG
  18. You sure about that? https://community.bikehub.co.za/topic/131130-17-sep-clearance-sale-1/?do=findComment&comment=2065790
  19. where is that? And why the silver fern?
  20. Absolutely. Daryl Impey‏@darylimpey2h Well I have to admit that I am sad that @RobbieHunter is retiring especially since he is a great friend and I will miss him in the peloton. He put SA Cycling on the map and can't thank him enough for that and for helping me start my European career. Great teammate and fighter
  21. GO CIOLEK! 3rd and 1st! He must take overall lead now?
  22. he mostly didn't finish due to crashes or injuries rather than bailing. eg ;ast year he pulled out after 2 or 3 bad falls in the first week. the year floyd 'won" he didn't do the last day because of saddle sores that saw him out the saddle for much of the penultimate stage. Anyway, its a pity if he is retiring not on his own terms. I thought it might be nice if he could see out his career at MTN. The guy does not get enough credit in SA.
  23. Suffering from some serious FOMO... but I would have kakked if i was going as training has been non existent. to those doing it have fun.
