  1. Well, Jay carries a mean "race face". I have seen him at all the crits I've been to and he always has this mean face on him. He was also one of the people that stopped at the accident. When he got back on his bike, he smiled and said howzit to me.
  2. I did take a pic of the sunset, it didn't come out that great. Well, it didn't look like a sunset in the pic. Not racing THAT hard, or not hard at all ? Good idea
  3. Would the guy have hit the cyclist if he was alone? The bunch bravado started on his side. If he did it this time, and the high road was taken, it is almost certain he would have done it again. After a little lesson, I doubt he would do it again. BUT, as you point out, it could cause a greater repercussion later.
  4. MTBaaisikilist, if your joking, I'm in. If you're serious, pm me. I have a paintball and BB gun. I ride the spruit with my wife and kids. They look forward to their Sunday afternoon ride, and I won't allow these low lives to take my family time away.
  5. I would like to apologize for this, but I can't help it...
  6. * Hijack on * That's what I spoke to Andrew about. I have never missed an entry and didn't know the steps or who to speak to. Just need to sort out logistics and I'm there * Hijack off *
  7. ... she needs the body guards, even if she is from the Souf
  8. Jut read about his now and feel like a fool, as I collected my number and spoke to Andrew, but I never mentioned a thing. Ben, sorry to hear about your unusual accident. It amazing how one second can change your life (for good or bad). I trust and pray that you have the strength to adapt and still enjoy life to it's fullest. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, my friend....
  9. Exactly what I was thinking, and I'm closer On a more serious note, Muxman (almost lost my nuts, but Avnic pulled through just in time) and Slowpoke can vouch that I stand by garmin and their service. Come do the Crit at the Dome on Tuesday and bring it with. I am very sure that between myself and Avnic (Garmin), your problem will be sorted. Pocketbikes2008-10-08 15:29:26
  10. Thanks Sonic. Well done to Supercycling.
  11. How does that saying go? The proof is in the ....basin
  12. So, whom of you watched Supercycling last night. We asked them to advertise something for us and I want to know if they did. (don't have DSTV) Supercycling said they would like to help raise awarness of cycling and races in SA, so we put them to the test. We asked them to do a quick shout out of the Crit at the Dome on Tuesadays. They said they would do shout outs if it was warranted and if they could. A quick advert is easy to put together and this is to show good faith that they would like to show us more of what we want. To change the content now is not easy, but it will with time. IT ALL STARTS SOMEWHERE.

  14. Johan will be the first to tell you that you never stop learning and there are always new solves to old problems. Well, at least this is what I believe...
  15. damn... better get my wife to cycle a lot more... maybe she can also inherit a set of legs like those... I'll get her the Garmin and kit
  16. Hey, leave us Porras alone. Might have to report this thread My wife is one of those "too much information" people. I enjoy info. Seriously, must people use shammy cream and someone might have a better way of applying it than others. It's no use using something if you're not using it correctly. Your info on the "porra shower" might be too much info for some, but I bet you've got others thinking that they might just cycle to work and use your routine. To those that did the commute on your scoot,
  17. Happy birthday Andrew. Hope the wife spoils you !
  18. Definitely. I just wish I was there to witness it.
  19. ...that's because I have not ridden yet...
  20. Got 3 hours of rest before I have to get up to get the ankle biters ready for school. Good night / good morning.
  21. I heard a couple of pedals/shoes clip the ground yesterday. My heart rate increases every time I hear it. I always wonder if the shock is worse for me or for the rider Are you guys ever going to run the track in reverse? There are 5 rights and one left corner. We race (pocketbikes) a few of our tracks normal and in reverse to keep things fair (some guys like left hand corners and some right). This also allows us wear both sides of the tyre without having to rotate the tyre on the rim. Pocketbikes2008-10-01 15:15:10
  22. ... it might pay more than what I am getting now Thanx IanJ Pocketbikes2008-10-01 03:05:11
  23. Russian, and everybody... as a curious person, how big do you want the crit to be (people wise) ? Russian, pm me your cell number, or has anybody else got his details? Pocketbikes2008-10-01 03:03:38
  24. Thanks Troy. What else was I going to do? I really wanted to ride, but couldn't, so the next best thing to do, was to take pics. Can't sit around doing nothing (shhhhh.... everyone thinks I'm taking pics, but I am really gathering info on how to do a crit, and to study the enemy?)
