  1. The two bikes I miss the most were both stolen, not sold. My Honda cb750c and my '69 150 sprint.
  2. I needed to get some stuff from the shop today, thought I'd take my Dakar. Clearly three weeks is too long between rides. Flat battery.
  3. That looks like my Puch that's patiently waiting to be restored.
  4. Thanks, I figured it might be boven. Been a long time since I visited boven, but I remember that crag (where doom is) being loads of fun. We climbed there during the rock rally about 15 years ago!
  5. Have a look at Revolution Cycles, they have some great deals at the moment. The camber sounds like the kind of bike you looking at and they have these with some serious discount.
  6. Tough task! My list today... Bob Dylan - blood on the tracks Black Sabbath - Black Sabbath Neil young - harvest Led Zeppelin - Remasters (is that fair) The Sex Pistols - Never mind the billocks The Clash - The Clash GnR-Lies Sublime - Sublime Nirvana - Nevermind Ben Harper - Fight for your mind
  7. I'm not sure if it's the best way to compare the difficulty of trails, but do a quick comparison of the average speeds on cobra and never-ending. I did a quick comparison of both my wife's and my times down these trails and we are both about 25% faster on cobra {average speed).
  8. I found the aggressor to have plenty of grip. I went from 2.3 dhf to 2.5 aggressor and found the aggressor to be way better in terms of grip.
  9. The Aggressor is a great compromise between grip and fast rolling, it also lasts pretty well especially on the front. I've been using aggressors on front and rear, 2.5 and 2.3 respectively. Out of interest, I've recently put a Kenda Hellkat 2.6 on the front and grip wise it's brilliant! Not as fast rolling as the aggressor though.
  10. I got it new from a dude on the hub... I'm not sure who's selling them.
  11. I recently put a kenda hellkat Pro on the front. Really light tire even in 2.6 and it grips!
  12. I know someone else asked, but I didn't see a response... How about a SLX 12 speed upgrade kit?
  13. Any ideas on the best place in Cape Town to service a Philips (saeco) bean to cup machine?
  14. I've recently been through the process of finding a dual sport bike. I tested three klr650s as I thought it was the bike I wanted. I settled on the BMW f650gs Dakar and I'm very happy with that decision. At R35000 was great value. I've done a little gravel and it coped well. I'm mostly using it as a commuter.
  15. Has anyone tried Mr Pukkah's habanero sauce? Hot but delicious! My personal favourite though, is my homemade smoked jalapeño with a touch of habanero for added heat. I tried a red savina grown by my FIL recently. Wow! Hot!
  16. Exactly one week before the Nic Dlamini incident we were driving up the same silvermine road. (not that this is relevant) I made the mistake of hooting at three cyclists riding three abreast. In return I got the middle finger, go figure.
  17. No But you need an activity permit for cycling, sport climbing, dog walking, horse riding, and paragliding.
  18. Capestorm has this option for the outdoorsman who likes wood.
  19. Nothing wrong with cyclesure. I used to insure my bikes with them. Now have bikes added to disco policy as specified risk. My brokers, Bikesure, are great and highly recommended.
  20. I've been running 2.5 aggressor on front for a while and loving the balance between rolling and grip. Paired it with a 2.3 aggressor on the back. Can definitely recommend it upfront.
  21. You can ride the Houdenbek trails if you stay there. Part of tankwa trek. If one is looking for solitude and a good ride Houdenbek is amazing!
