I'm confused now... I had to change my training programme to time in the gym because I simply can't get out on the road anymore - I have no training partner and going out on the roads in the city is way more dangerous than it was in a smaller town. So I'm doing spinning classes combined with targeting specific muscle groups with weight training - my identified weak muscle groups. Am I now doing more harm than good? At least I'm still training and staying fit? I found the spinning class enjoyable and did more standing up pedalling than ever before? And the people at the gym aren't that bad, I've even received some smiles! Granted, this was mostly while I was making a fool of myself while doing something I haven't done before! (First time in a gym ever!)

Mich, you can also just tell us how much it would cost and we bring you the money or pay it into your account? Then there's no confusion.

Okey dokey - otherwise I'll follow D-R to the venue. What time should I leave here to get there on time? I still stay in the East of Pta D-R.

D-R, that's why I very carefully put the "if it's not too technical" part in there... hehehe! If you're going to be there, you can sommer have a look and tell me what the heck I did to the front derailleur on that D&D ride I did with you!! I have just recently actually washed the bike (uiteindelik!) and now the chain sticks when changing gears (chainsuck?). And I haven't been on the mtb since that ride..

I'd like to join you if it's not going to be too technical? And if someone can tell me how to get there! Maybe I should pick you up SP and you can just come join us out there and keep Doeda company?

How could I have missed this thread?! Fatty and Jason, the way you guys are going, you might just be doing the H2H alone!! I don't know what Michelle thinks, but you guys sure think a lot of yourselves if you think you can just pass me around like yesterday's news! It was certainly interesting and you got a whole new perspective on the route - man it looks hard!!! But I got a bit of motion sickness with all that zooming in and out of the map!! :-( The dinner afterwards was highly entertaining though..

I just had a look at the maps to the start and/or finish of the race as well as the venue. It seems we can't park at the finish? This poses somewhat of a problem for the families of cyclists doesn't it? I see there's a shuttle service from the finish back to the parking, does it also work from the parking to the finish? I need to get some children from the parking area to the finish venue so they can wait there? Any suggestions? Help? Advice? Anything?

There's a mtb shop in Pta where I bought shares shortly after buying the Merida from BigBen... they won't see me again..
