  1. Hi they are 2 completely different bikes.. Roubaix race comfort while the Reacto race aero.. personally I will always go for a more aggressive responsive bike and the sexiness of the aero Reacto will be my choice. good luck and post pics on your choice.
  2. FAAAARK..bike prices are crazy. a few years ago you could get a Spesh epic for not more than that and then it was KAAAK expensive. now you get a very average bike like a giant..no offence meant to giant riders.
  3. an excellent choice, you really cant go wrong with that build. looking forward to your build pics and reviews after a few rides

    Rugby...

Hi guys I'm not sure if this has been discussed before, but having watched last nights game I'm very comfortable and confidence we have a fighting chance at the RWC, d' Allende in my opinion was the man of the match and his running off the ball and quick steps and passes gave the All Blacks headaches, what's going to happen with the return of Jean de Villiers, omg, he is a ball killer, JP Fourie Fran's steyn and all the other old dogs, Our scrum half had a blinder last night, very impressed, quick to break down, fast balls left and right, my previous criticism of him was he was very slow but has improved dramatically. Hendricks not have a good game SA full back good game on offensive poor defense allowing the try to be scored one on one. Overall good game by boks, I'm just disappointed matfield doesn't hang up his boots with dignity like bakkies and rather use his experience to coach the youngsters.
  5. Hi This has to be the most exciting TdF in many years..nail biting finishes, great climbs, cobblestones etc.. what drama the scene set for the mountains in a few days. I must admit I was horrified to see the TdF total price money is just over €26000 and the winner gets €8000, the 20th placed person get €200. Wtf. With the cost of the equipment and the exposure of the big brands why doesn't the sponsors offer these young riders more for their efforts. It's 21 days of extreme riding that requires many months of preparation for literally peanuts compared to other sporting codes. These are the best cyclists in the world. To put the monies in perpective a person who gets knocked out of the singles first round of Wimbledon will receive £29000 which is more than the total TdF prize money, the winner of Wimbledon will receive £1.88 million the runner up £950k. Cycling is the fastest growing sports on the planet, the equipment costs a fortune, why doesn't the prize money reflect this success, where is the profits from hosting the TdF it's clearly not in the prize money.
  6. Hi I'm not a racing snake by any means but do have the luxury and privilege of riding the cape coastline regularly have 53/39 and have changed rear to 11-28 from 12-25 and it's helped me tremendously to get over whatever is thrown at me. You will be fine, the hills may not be the concern it's the south Easter ( wind) that you should prepare for. Good luck.
  7. Shouting 'tool' I guess that's not going to win you any popularity contests..sharp one Le turbo..u guys crack me up.
  8. Nice read, good luck training for Sani, I guess we all have bit of red ( good vac and wanting to work off the weight but not willing put in the effort) and blue ( pushing the 'lazy' buddy along)
  9. Wel done HC..we need to celebrate the good as well...I'm sure there are many more positive transactions that go unannounced and only the negative are discussed...so my faith in the hub is being restored..15k bees hmmm lol
  10. Thanks for the best laugh I've had in a while....of late the hub has been so much sadness and disappointment...it's good to have a laugh...well spotted

  12. Oh shame condolences to the family. RIP brother

  14. I have ulterior carbon, light but more importantly never had to worry about them ever since the day I installed and it's been 2 years.
  15. I have to agree your pressure waaay to high. I also hv saguaro tires back and front and they pull me round corners I fear I hv over cooked the speed..very good strong confidence inspiring and never burped or had sidewall troubles.
  16. I've got a 110 and I has to be the most reassuring confidence inspiring bike I've ever ridden. As a newbie 2 years I sometimes find myself in situations in which my skills are not Most comfortable and this is where the Pyga steps up and takes over, the suspension is amazing and despite the weight it's very well distributed so you don't feel as heavy. For me the best part of the Pyga is the solid robust design That will not let you down under any circumstances.
  17. How do you find the pyga compared to the tall boy
  18. Ikons 3c are super super strong never had any cuts, in 2 years, my other bike has saguaros tnt, also no issues..
  19. I think we missing the point here and I don't believe it's to do with race as there are many very successful black people with loads of money, this has to do with the service levels we receive based on the perception on our disposable income due to our appearance.. I had a similar situation last year, we had just moved into our newly completed home in Cape Town and were busy with the landscaping and planting of trees. I had planned on visiting car dealerships to decide on cars for an incentive I was running but as I was really enjoying spending the morning with the family I didn't change as I hoped to return to the garden the rest of the afternoon. I went down to our fancy Culemborg vehicle district in a slightly messy track pants, t shirt and sandles. Anyway at this particular dealership I looked at the car I was interested in for 20 min sales people walked past me chatted to their colleagues about their weekend plans no one even acknowledged my existence, I used the time to confirm my car for my incentive and once done I went into the sales managers office and introduced myself and told him about the poor service I received and proceeded to go to the next dealership, when I walked into their showroom I went to the car I was interested in sat in it and within 2 min a young lady came over asked me if I needed help offered me coffee and within 10 minutes I had signed a deal for 4 cars with a total value of R2,1 million. The quickest deal ever! The point is people the world over are judged on their affordability based on their appearance. sometime back there was an incident involving Oprah and a store assistant not wanting to take an 'expensive' bag out of the cabinet because she didn't believe the woman could afford it....whether it racial stereotyping I don't know but the store lost out a sale on a €10 000 bag.
  20. I think its really unfair to make it an autostyle complaint forum all other retailers also use these classifieds as a route to connect with potential client the following retailers come to mind Sportsworld Evobikes Extreme lights Bike lane Etc These retailers have role to play.
  21. I have read all the different views and yes all are valid from a particular perspective, the reality is we as cyclists are being targeted by a few groups and within the groups are parties who appear to enjoy the power of inflicting pain and injury on us despite us relinquishing our bikes and all possessions, (see article of spez theft on 1 jan). I agree that carrying a firearm is not the ideal however if it's a choice between being at the mercy of a thief who has psychopathic murderous tendencies and me being armed (whether I could / would have the time to protect myself) Il always go for the latter. We have our personal views on firearms, mine is very simple....I'd rather have a firearm and not need 1 than need it and not have 1.
  22. Hi I have a 100mm fox on my Pyga 110 and the difference in head angle IMHO is minimal compared to the recommended 110mm at least not enough for me to notice. I guess it does depend on the type of riding one does, I couldn't see the justification in spend for a few extra mm, also bear in mind when the Pyga 110/29 was initially built there were very few forks > than 100mm and only recently has the pikes (140mm +) become the flavor of the moment. So to answer ur question I would say yes u can use a 100mm fork.
