  1. And as we live in the most resourceful place in the world on how to get rich without having to work, the gate remote has been taken to new levels of entertainment in car parks all around the country....
  2. Orange released a belt drive a few years ago with a few bolts on the chainstay to be able to unbolt the rear part to fit the belt. Probably the same system used here. Off topic, saw this RT by Our Hero, made me smile cynically. Oh OK, certified is a bit of an exaggeration in his case!
  3. Care to elaborate on the nitty grittys? Can't remember ever replacing or servicing these items on my bikes. Maybe the fact that they are missing on my bikes is the cause of me being so slow on the trials. I don't think any of your staff are under any illusion on the importance of breaks, we've all experienced them having their break when we've needed service. Do they only learn this riding with you or are you trying to teach them not to have them as often in store? It's going to be interesting to see how customer's needs are met by the retail experience, A whole range of good bikes? Are you a masochist? Inviting ridicule from your fellow hubbers? These bikes are what are termed Walmart specials. No one here is going to be fooled by your buyers attempt to justify a profit opportunity based on selling ordinary and passing it off as great. Lovely when big retail tries to take advantage of a growing sport to make money rather than add value.
  4. I think it's the first time ever that he has shown backbone. "I wasn't ready to ride the Giro, I'm not enjoying it, I'm injured, I'm not going to win so I'll save myself for another day". Doubt he would have done this if Bjarne or Kim Anderson were calling the shots. All is not well at RSN.
  5. Bruyneel is a ****, his master plan for world domination through taking over Leopard has backfired badly. I bet ALL the saxo boys wish they were back with Bjarne rather than this goose. Spartacus crashes, Fuglsang crashes, Frank pulls out, what next. None of the Leopard guys want to ride for him. He should stick to his geriatrics in Cali, what was the plan to send old man Horner up the river?
  6. Big problem is mounting the belt on a conventional frame, the chain stay gets in the way. Unlike a chain, a belt cannot be joined with a gold link.
  7. Not true. SRAM worked out smoother shifting with more upshift points using 2/3rds ratios so they have 26/39 28/42. The 26/39 has 13 upshift points, the 28/42 has 14, most other brands have 4 to 6 upshift points. Other manufactures have not yet followed this perfect ratio of upshift points on the chainring so still generally use unsymmetric ratios limited only by the maximum throw of the front dérailleur which is normally 14 for a 2 chainring system or 22 for a triple. Shimano still use 28/40 30/42, RaceFace use 26/38 28/40 30/42.
  8. What a finish today. Fantastic racing.
  9. Who cares what he does now. Apart from the 4 of you.
  10. Unless you do something different you are also going to save on the light you want to give away on Facebook. You are waaay short of the required number of likes needed. Maybe 1000 likes is too ambitious based the specialised nature of the product you are offering. Hubbers like auctions when the deal and the product are right....
  11. The English EuroSport stream on ch-6 seems to work ok on relatively low speed link, I get passable coverage on my PlayBook bridged to my BlackBerry 3G. Live today from 13:45 http://sports-livez.com/channel/ch-6.php
  12. The boy's helmet is designed to save 20 watts at 70 kph by not having any vents.

  15. To import for resale in the R250 selling price range you'd either need to pay next to nothing for the lights or budget to sell tens of thousands to make it worthwhile. Shipping and clearing costs to land the goods in SA are out of line with international standards and then the local logistics (local courier or postage) are even further out of line. And customs delays add to your cost of capital. And then the retailers want as much as half of the selling price for themselves. I hope you get it right, we need cheaper goods for retail in SA.
  16. and 4 ZAR more than I paid!
  17. I'm sure Exhibit C is showing a camel toe
  18. Classic on eurosport just now. Liquigas rider looses his chain on the climb at about 35km to go. David Harman comments on the mechanic pushing said rider up the hill after repair. Big fat guy and exercise. Sean Kelly: Looks like he needs it. David Harman is speechless pissing himself.
