  1. What's the price on the reign frames? Anyone got an older 1 they want to sell?
  2. I would have gone faster than a 29er at that moment!
  3. LOL - All the guys blabbering about right front because of motorbikes & you come in at another angle. I ride moto style too. When I got back into mtb my first new bike was setup the other way & I failed miserably, but after changing back tyo moto style my handling was instantaneously better.
  4. Don't just go & cut the bars. You might not like it in the longer run. 550mm is really narrow (IMO) I ride mainly XC & trail & Ifelt my bike was transformed when I went to a bit wider bars. Now at 690mm, but it was like 600mm to start off with (or could have been slightly wider) Rather move everything in & ride with it like this to se whether you like it. Your problem might be coming from somewhere else. Just remember end caps!!!
  5. I don't know how good this advice wcould be to you, but here goes: I'm having very tight joints, so when I sit cross legged (not even for long) then my legs become numb. My knees can't even come close to the ground. Have you tried warming up before a ride? Swing your arms, roll your neck, stretching etc. At some stage I was also working behind a pc for extended periods & I felt the muscle between the shoulder & the neck (trapezius?) tense up a lot quicker on longer rides / when becoming tired. Was only the left arm I have to add. Haven't done anything to the muscles, but stopped working behind the pc that long & now everything is better. It's not just a sport, it's a way of life! I hope you can get it sorted!!! Good luck!
  6. Sounds great! I remember something about "we cannot ship this item to your selected adress" error message when I wanted to order some pedals a while ago. Have you used your PO Box or street adress or 1 of those APO adresses?
  7. The thread about "Pocket knives" got my fingers itching for a ( / some) new knive(s). Has anyone imported to SA from amazon.com ? What would the approx tax rate be on knives? Got this, http://www.cargoinfo.co.za/customs/CustomsChapter.asp?C=82 but it's not too clear what the import duties will be on this: http://www.amazon.com/Cold-Steel-Gurkha-Kraton-Handle/dp/B001PYSNAO/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1351966463&sr=8-2&keywords=cold+steel+kukri
  8. Back to tyres: Any thoughts on Maxxis Minions or High rollers?
  9. Looks like I should opt for some of their stuff. Where would be my best bet to shop? crc? VERY nice indeed.
  10. OK... so Patches shout it out loud: Where can I get my hands on some nice orange bling bits?
  11. Thanx for the tip! Was wondering which tyres to go for, but I bought a couple of crossmarks from cwc when they had their sale, so slammed them on to try out the bike, but you're right... it's a snow sled in seconds! Will check out the WTB's & Nobby Nic. Any comments on how these rate against the Nevegals?
  12. Awesome! I want to get some orange / ford orange bling bits for my bike to compliment the colour!
  13. Thanx for the comments! I love the colour too. When I've finally decided on the colour & phoned up MoreWood Steve said they've finished that blue & I had to choose another colour. I was then back to square 1! Was pondering between natural & the OXblood / candy apple red & the blue. Steve then phoned me up the next day telling me that my luck was in & that he 'discovered' some of the blue that was stashed away. Glad I went with the blue & not the oxblood.
  14. I'm not too sure what it's called, but it's the colour of the Kalula
  15. OK guys it's been ages since any update, but I've waited forever & 2 weeks for my order from crc with the strikes & all...Here's the complete ride. 16. Please spill the beans right here so everyone can see the prices (obviously can change without prior notification) Enduro seal kits as well for Revelations please...
  17. Thanx for the info of where to track, but got the slips in the PO yesterday & collected it. Gonna start assembling just now... Good luck & I hope everyone has speedy deliveries!!!
  18. Should be enought time. Well, I've got all the time in the world (meaning no deadline), but you know how it is when you order something sweet for your bike like some Easton Haven wheels . It always seem to take forever
  19. Well on the parcelforce site it says the parcel has cleared customs on 21 sept already & forwarded to delivery depot...
  20. You guys can be lucky. I've been waiting since 16 of September for my parcel. Yesterday there still wasn't anything at PO. Farking strikers!
  21. What if you could e-mail bryton international & explain to them the service you experience locally. Surely their service should be way better (& maybe that can help to sharpen up SA's service) Keep us posted.
  22. Thanx for the reply patches. Thing is I tried the main chamber at 200psi & even at that it feels very slow in returning to home position. You know when you almost have the rebound knob turned all the way! I'll check again tonight when I get home, cause I had a terrible night's sleep as well as a terrible day with this being in the back of my head. Will update with any news.
  23. I've recently bought a brand new Shova frame with the Fox dhx air installed & yesterday I've received my revelation in the post. I then just had to put the fork on & the wheels just to see & feel the suspension! You guys know why I couldn't wait, huh? I've tried different settings & inflations to the dhx main & boost chambers, but it seems sluggish & not have a responsive rebound. Tried: 150psi in main & boost chambers. Rebound either way open or closed & in between 200 psi in main & 150 in boost chamber. Rebound either way open or closed & in between 150 psi in main & 180 boost chamber. Rebound either way open or closed & in between When on 200 psi the sag was way to little, but the rebound still sluggish. Anyone have an idea where I went wrong or have some info to share? Thanx in advance! Jacques
  24. Sure someone has -lol
  25. Do the deed in a cup while on the scale & once you're done put the cup down & see f the scale is showing any difference.
