  1. Would like & will probably soon... (maybe not that soon)
  2. Nice explanation Capricorn. OK, so is anyone (besides Slick's wife) running Spez Purgatory ? (ies?) What sizes are avbailable in SA? 2.2 & 2.4 or is it only 2.3 now? http://www.specialized.com/za/en/ftb/mtb-tires/all-mountain-tires In 26" of course
  3. Thanx for all the replies! I had too much of an itch yesterday & built it up to be 3x10 (for now) @ Thug: Isn't the inner ring (even if 28T) going to be way too small? @Shaper: Single ring with bash then? @ Braailegend: Wish I had the moolas for a decent crank like the Zee, but my Shova recently ruined (in a good way) my budget I had for cycling. I heard the single rings like the wolfrings can be run without chainguide when paired with a clutch RD. Well I do have the chainguide, so might as well use it when going single crank
  4. I've recently aquired a Cotic BFe frame & want to build it with a single crank so I would like some of you single blade riders' input. Which would be good value for money cranks? I looked at the Shimano Zee, but I was hoping to find something a bit cheaper. I do have a chain guide fitted, but can remove it as I want to go with a SLX clutch RD. Thx. J
  5. Very Nice! Glad they paired with RockShox. Looks like it's built with XX1 as well.
  6. Sorry my bad. Was browsing their site while reading this thread. Didn't check availability.
  7. http://superstar.tibolts.co.uk/index.php?cPath=37 If anyone's interested.
  8. Are these also tubeless ready? http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=83197 Is the HD performance tyre somewhere between the Trailstar & the Pacestar or is it a racier tyre? Meaning "not as hard hitting / heavy duty?
  9. So which of the Hans Dampf's the best for grip vs wear? Should I go Trailstar in the front & Pacestar in the back? Where's the best place to buy these monsters?
  10. That is quite a low BB indeed. I thought the Shova's BB is low at 335mm (if memory serves me well) with 150mm rev up front. It sure is happy when pointed downwards. Sad factor is that I run out of talent way before she does Wanted to try out a angle set headset to slacken the head angle a bit, but I'm worried about: A) It will be able to fit B.ee) it will start to ride like a farm gate HA is currently 69 deg. Maybe a tad under.
  11. You running a 160mm fork? What's the BB with that fork? I love my Shova, but REALLY wish I had the moolas to buy a Sukuma.
  12. How much is posting for about 5-8 units? Pity there's no GREEN
  13. Whenever I get this kind of offer I shake my head thinking: how should this deal be concluded otherwise? By cheque perhaps- pfft
  14. Have bought from them way back when. The prices were way better than what it is now.
  15. Very nice!. How much would that set me back?
  16. Ironically the first pic it looks like a rifle
  17. Then I guess I'll have to save up seriously. Forks are not too cheap as well, then wheels...
  18. When you say list price I'm thinking there must be LBS that can throw a discount?
  19. Oil only!?!? Then I will have to open them up & see what's going on ASAP!
  20. The warm water seems like a great "why didn't I think of that" idea. To remove the swingarm is very easy. Haven't taken out the bearings though - my bike is still way too new.
  21. What is the price on the 120 650B frames?
  22. I see
  23. I guess most wheels will taco when bombing down a trail with the handlebars turned like that.
  24. a 150mm 650B should be THE1 for sure! I'd love to see it own it!
