Sorry for the hijack OP but I have a story Last year a mate of mine was doing a training ride with some guys in the La Lucia area in Durbs around 6 in the morn. Group of girls drove by obviously coming home from a long night out jolling and one of them decided to expose her derriere out the window. Suffice to say he saw quite a bit and nearly came off his bike!!

Only problem with this stuff is that unless you are an active person you gain weight relatively quickly with it, as someone said it was developed for people who are sick. I know at the bottom of the Cadence unit there is a hole that water can get into and mess up the unit (there is another thread somewhere on here about it). I find the green light is very dim so try in a very dark room. If its clicking it should be registering.. else take it into the Garmin agents...

I ride from Durbs to Umhlanga (either along Umhlanga rocks drive or the bottom way - anyone beyond that is sketchy to me. From Umhlanga to the Sibaya garage there is not much of a shoulder along that stretch. Haven't tried anything beyond that to be honest :/ Thought you ride from Umhloti and maybe up to Ballito
