I doubt his going to be at his best… he might do a sponsorship contract to show face and bail on the Alps so at least Christmas shopping is covered.
I see a podium of new players… definitely not Remco. Will be an amazing TDF if Pogi cracks from Giro fever.🙃
…something fishy about the Dane?😜

Those were expensive… my folks couldn’t afford it. I did however watch a guy bail on a downhill on one, the 3 speeds were coast / fast / crash. 😂😂😂
That bike….
I decided to do a full custom bike now that I could actually afford it in my late 20’s. Took me around a year to build and a hefty cost of around 70K in 2006.
I got stuff via Italy/ France/ Germany and the US. The idea was to build a real weight weenie rig like nothing seen in this neck of the woods.
-Frame: Specialized Roubaix Gen1, got this in the first ever limited batch that came direct from Utah when Specialized was a cool brand doing nice carbon innovation with the Zertz inserts.
-Wheels: FIR Galaxium carbon blades spokes with Michelin Pro Lite tires (pumped to 120 of course 😂😂😂)
- Chorus 10spd levers / cranks / rear & front all custom modified with Campag titanium cassette, TA chainrings and TA BB (141g) running on hollow pin campag chain and lighter pulley wheels.
-Cables were Nokon which an upgrade of note with Mavic SSC brake callipers.
-Saddle was the Limited Edition Saeco Gilberto Edition Fizik.
-Speed play CSC team edition pedals.
-Finished off cockpit with Deda Antera one piece bar. I also made a custom stem adapter for my Polar, way before it become a thing. I should have patented that idea. 🤓
Everything on this build at the time was not available in SA, it was a sub 8kg which back then was ultra special. So I got a lot questions were ever this bike raced and many compliments. I won a few races on this bike and it’s the most comfortable bike I ever owned. Damn I miss that beauty. They just don’t build them like this anymore. 😑
The TDF is coming up…. Spend time watching others fall off their bikes, for now just do small intervals, TT to the fridge and back for a cool one and practise some VO2 max with a willing partner. No seriously, get some rest and your body will let you know it’s time to head out again. We all been there and we all have our various experiences but it’s a journey. Best of luck.✅😅
Eish… they they trying to get off Scott free! 😅 it’s part of their brand culture. Sorry boss.
The buyers market is going to get flooded as Temu start making more clone brands available. I’ve already sounded the alarm before when Fake Shimano chains hit the markets. Guys lookout and ask where the item was purchased if need be. If the price is too good to believe, it probably is. Let’s try keep this clean and make sellers more accountable for their goods.

Killing the whole teams budget, they can’t afford to buy anybody else. His hogging the progress of a team who should be in a better place. The guy scored 2 UCI points I think in 23’. Time to go and chill in his tax haven.
Heads up:
Double check the info on ROAG, there is a fast fact info sheet from 2023. This is going to confuse people.

Stop it now.
My logic tells me his NOT going to the TDF*
* no future tense expressions were harmed in this statement
Will be interesting to see how Remco is shaping up? Not sure he will be at his best for TDF.
An insiders view of absolute chaos!

Lachlan has so much more experience than everyone else when you look at everything hes done. A race this distance is so much more than physical. It’s mental and it’s also about nutrition and he hes got so much experience fueling for these distances. I don’t think people actually realise how difficult it is to continually eat for 9 hours. Your gut takes an absolute beating.
He won Tour Divide, he did the miles and used some clever race combinations. After coming so close before. Well deserved ride.
Crazy…. Still prefer Traka!
So nice to see an event that is catering for the gravel beginners. That route is full of eye candy! I hope this event gets great numbers.
I think carrying everything in your back pockets is pretty old school! 😂😂
I always think, if you go down… you can loose all your stuff, but yeah be cool hey! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 ride like a bomb but don’t have any! 🤭
*- The style police left the building long ago when baseball socks became aero. 😂😂😂
I wonder how long the Italians will tolerate The Pog Machine? Will they be brave enough to expose the dirty secret or just tow the UCI rope?
Hey nice1 boet.. listen if you out that way, checkout Unna! Lovely town. I highly recommend it. Keep riding man.👍🏻🤛🏻😎
