  1. The brand loyalty kick backs are drying up. Now of these offer a long term benefit. Most are short goal  based  to drive internal revenue among third parties. This trick has been milked beyond its shelf life. EG: Discovery isn’t so much concerned about your overall health but rather the potential to shave those bank charges which all go unregulated in a non policed sector.
Gosh I can remember when they came begging to get business back in the day ….when they were small fish in a big pond. Now you got a building that belongs more in Dubai than the dirty streets of Rivonia road. It’s your “financial health” that keeps those lights on! LoL ( suckers)!

  2. I see big changes announced from TREK CEO! 😳 Huge cuts across the company , they dropping around 40 SKU’s which is massive, and 10% chop on everything.

It seems the LeMond issue has brought a certain karma! Don’t dish out heat, …that you can’t take it yourself! 😂😂😂

I will be following this very closely with great interest. 🤓

  3. Doing the Giro and TDF, will require a complete new schedule for Slov Machine. His also doing mini TT training it seems. I wonder if his thinking of Games?🤓🤔 His in his prime, might as well add some gold to the collection.🤭

  4. I’m still recovering from SB, that new circuit was epic…. I still got a lot of dust in my eyes.🤭😬 After watching the Tag Machine destroy the field.

  5. Saddle height and the actual saddle too can greatly make other muscles work harder and it seems it’s worth investigating, something so small can cause injury once the part says, I’m done. I’ve suffered from a saddle that was too low and too far back. Not all settings are universal, with today’s tech, you can get dialled in pretty well and there are a host of fitters out there. I wish you well and hope you get your issues resolved and you can go right past that 50km mark painless. Let us know how you progress. 🤓

Not correct. In-house saves money on most if not all parts.

I disagree… when it comes to tooling all the resources, it’s a long return on Investment, and it might seem cheaper at starting point but since specs change year on year, ROA lands up been a can each brand kicks down the road.

  7. .. yet we still have okes that throw 120K at an Epic! 😂😂😂 some burn matches, others prefer paper.

The tipping point was when all brands decided to invest in the in-house bandwagon. Now this seemed like a promised cash cow for shareholders, turns out.. an industry rabbit hole. Instead of keeping the traditional approach of frame guys do frames, and parts guys provide the package. Brands started own in-house stems, BB’s, cranks, causing a huge shift for brands to suck up more market space. Hence the price jump on bicycles today. We are officially in Motorbike territory and no one’s blinking…. Only a few buying, so that’s the writing on the walls folks. Massive changes ahead for this segment of sport we call cycling which is more about heavy weight consumerism, balancing on a knife edge that’s unsustainable. Anyways my R1, on the subject. Due to inflation, my tens cents counts for sweet Jake all! 😅

  8. So… the great debate, four wheels vs two wheels. Who will survive on the same piece of real estate?

Sharing common space with strangers will no doubt bring out our differences. We as society need to address that neither own the space.

I have been guilty in 4 wheel mode and have paid my fines to Cyril ‘I’m a poser”. So maybe we need cops on bikes, the E-bike PD…? They could also help with bike crime and monitoring roads that cyclist use and enforce traffic safety regulations. Eish… but with load shedding, not sure how many riders (officers) would pitch up to work? 😂😂😂

  9. Watching them come to Paris is epic! The international vibe is amazing! Be prepared for 6 deep crowds but insane speeds on cobbles. The cameras do not give you an accurate reading on how fast they are going! The final lap is motorbike speeds! I was in awe…. Well worth it, bucket list ticked.

Next is the Giro or the Worlds.*

    * based on currency exchange and I need to do this honey….😂😂😂

I won't lie, reading these replies makes me feel like such a pilchard.

I've got helmets I've used multiple times a week for years and never washed the padding...... 😝

.. I’ve noted. Will remember this when one of your helmets come up for sale! 😂😂😂

  11. My theory:

Some inner pads are coated with an anti bacterial compound and it could be that at some higher temps ( generated by mostly head heat) it could irritate the skin. I’ve had something similar, but a sweatband worked a charm. Try that before you go the “BH” medical route! Hope you come right dude.
