  1. The triathlon ones seem to be a problem. We have several triathletes training with us at the moment with these contraptions on and their waterbottles seem to pop out quite often. They're always talking about using elastic bands or rubber strips to hold them in. Why not just go for a hydration pack?
  2. Plain ol' water with Sunlight dishwashing liquid and Kleen Green for the oily bits...
  3. I'm not LMAO...
  4. The last I heard was that the Competition Commission had referred its recommendation of a 10% fine to the Tribuneral. http://www.fin24.com/Business/Price-fixing-in-bicycle-market-20100628-2
  5. I've searched and it looks like the Fun Police were there like a thief in the night. I reckon it needs to be resurrected.
  6. How long do you reckon it'll take BigH to realise PowerBalance bands are a scam? Anyone volunteering to educate him?
  7. He did, too! And Thug... No muggings, tho'. Looks like you guys haven't been bad enough!
  8. My New Years wish list: - Rudy photochromatics - Sid Ergo 2 white size 45 Can you help?
  9. I tried it and didn't like it. If I remember correctly, it was basically a mix of potato powder and sugar.
  10. I go straight to the mobile site (I'm posting this off my Android phone now). I do see I have an option in my settings to use mobile sites or not...
  11. After breaking several carbon cages I went back to the good old metal ones. I have put Specialized ones on my cyclocross and they seem pretty decent.
  12. There is no excuse for intelligence...
  13. I'm looking at it now on my Android phone...
  14. Horses for courses, Mark. I haven't had problems... I suppose some people can get on with others and some can't. Two sides to the story and so on... I have always found the Club staff to be most helpful.
  15. [Disclaimer: I am a Cycle Lab member!] The Lab really does try hard - despite what others say. Ali and her team spend a lot of time organising marshals, Think Bike support, support vehicles, sponsors and so on. She organises lists, emailing, reminders and refreshments after the ride for the marshals. A hell of a lot of work goes into trying to make the Club rides safe and enjoyable. She handles all problems, complaints and compliments every week to try to make sure that feedback is acted on. Then one tjop does something stupid and it gets posted all over the Hub...
  16. Carbon is worth the warranty it comes with...
  17. That's where I taught my two oldest to ride! Cool...
  18. I had one of these and it came with a little metal hanger with hooks on both ends for this sort of thing. Ask your LBS?
  19. Good on you for sharing this! Too often we hear the negatives, but not the positives...
  20. It seems to be... I have hunted high and low for any reference to Pronuto being classified as such and have found nothing. Even the Bokomo site (the manufacturers of Pronutro) do not mention it. And you can even download a product PDF on it!!!
  21. I'm sure there are a lot of Hubbers who'll volunteer to check them out for you...
  22. Wikipedia has a nice section on this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bronopol Look under The Nitrosamine Problem. It looks like an alkaline environment and/or elevated temperatures are the problem areas. So if you have an alkaline or hot bum, you're in trouble. It looks like the problem is when the stuff goes "off"...
  23. The best thing is to avoid them: - wear clean shorts; - use shammy cream; - wash and disinfect after a long ride or when tender. If I get them: - keep clean (wash); - swab with dettol; - put on germolene. It very much appears to me that the topic revolves around hygiene...
  24. Another uninformed rant by an ignoramus! Popcorn time!!!
