Only one experience with CECycles to date but I've been happily recommending them to anyone with Elite IDT issues based on that experience.! In fact, I've even been suggesting trying them with other IDT brands too.

Try CECycles ... they provided service support on behalf of the previous Elite distributor.

All rims/wheels and tyre combinations are unfortunately not created equal. Some hold air better than others. While it may seem counterintuitive, sometimes adding the sealant really is the solution.

No personal experience but they're pretty active here on Bikehub too so I can't think that there is need for concern.

A number of options on Takealot if unable to get to a LBS.

I rode a mushroom plugged road wheel for the first time over the weekend. Plunged down Constantia Nek without issue. It is a virtually new tyre so I thought it well worth trying to extend its life.

That was my experience recently. Seal would blow every couple of minutes but only lost 10-20 psi over 2.5 hrs. Downtube was a mess and covered in sealant, but I got home without needing to stop.

One of these could be useful. Or make it your LBS's problem. LOL

WEDU team had a fair bit to say about this and especially G's choice to swap helmets too.! Ultimately I don't think it mattered ... the steep slopes sorted things out.

I had a gearing issue once ... turned out to be the cassette spacer on that specific wheelset.

He did it easily.!!

My Direto developed a rumbling noise last week so I decided to reach out to CECycles. Dropped it off on Thursday and got it back the next day ... troublesome bearings replaced and general service done. Can confirm that they were handling maintenance and repairs on behalf of the former agent and are already in discussions with prospective new agent. Spares are currently low but well worth giving them a shout if your Elite IDT is giving issues.

Now that's an offer one cannot refuse. I also like the idea of doing things myself but as OP also alluded to, it can be dangerous. LOL (without a knowledgeable person alongside) The other issue sometimes experienced is not having the appropriate tools. Enjoy experience Ncayi. Props to RobertWhitehead.!!

Explore both options and see what works best for you. Selling to a reseller is convenient but comes at a cost. Sometimes the cost is worth it though, saving you time and effort.!

Seller expectation and buyer suggestions both seem optimistic. LOL There's probably a suitable compromise midway between R3-11k.

Conti used to be my go to because often it was the only tube available with RVC. I've heard of light weight tubes losing air but for the rest they are generally all the same.
