  1. It's cheap (maybe R100) but Specialized don't seem to have any. ☚ī¸
  2. Any 3d-ers able to do a Roubaix bb cover please.? 😊 https://bikehub.co.za/classifieds/item/road-bike-frames/617961/wanted-specialized-roubaix-di2-bb-cover
  3. If that's messing it up, watch out when he gets it right.! 😊
  4. It's important to have a support driver who actually understands cycling.
  5. Yes please. Close to home so would like to know too.
  6. Perhaps there's a trashed Roubaix frame out there with a salvageable bb cover.? 🤞 https://bikehub.co.za/classifieds/item/road-bike-frames/617961/wanted-specialized-roubaix-di2-bb-cover
  7. What was the wind like there.? Blustery around False Bay so changed my route ... 😊
  8. Surely there's nothing wrong with that.! 🙃 I think most just want the best bib that they can afford. (true for all equipment I guess)
  9. Ok. I'm possibly mistaken but I thought that a different crew had Basso. Rumour has it that when they closed their doors, some moved to Nsquared. If Harryn is right, then you may not be hearing from them anytime soon... ☚ī¸
  10. Not that it matters in terms of their responsibility, but was Basso one of their official brands.? Or was it just excess stock after the demise of a certain other bike store/distributor.?
  11. The names mentioned all come highly recommended. Location and turnaround would possibly be key in picking one.
  12. Definitely finding myself more and more keen on one ...
  13. I was going down Constantia Nek on my own yesterday with lots of wind noise when a BMW (luckily not a white bakkie) flew by really close ... at that moment I thought a radar could have been really handy.!
  14. Possibly still operational but tough to get excited about a website still reflecting items from Black Friday circa 2020, which when checking the detail, disappoints with no stock.! ☚ī¸
  15. Some rim/tyre combos do seem to work better than others, with hookless rims complicating things even further. 🙈 I haven't tried any Conti options yet and will certainly approach with caution given what you've said. 🙃 Tubeless certainly is a journey with very few dull moments. đŸ¤Ŗ
  16. There are reasons already mentioned why some may not just get on a bike, and would prefer to subscribe to an organized group/club instead. That said, I'm no stranger to just riding and getting in the slip ... but I've also had many rides where it seems everybody is going the opposite direction. 🙈
  17. Tinder.? 🙃
  18. Agreed. But I felt no need to correct the poster as the attitudes are apparently the same in both groups. đŸ¤Ŗ
  19. To quote an earlier post: "Southern suburbs and Town are clicky" The idea of "just ride your bike" is possibly also one of the barriers to cycling currently with safety concerns around being solo on the road.
  20. Start riding with a group.? Clubs would generally provide that opportunity when others are not available.
  21. Real or perceived benefits aside, where does one without access to any informal groups start.?
  22. Agreed, and while those "enemies" are not unique to cycling clubs, they do appear more prevalent than in other sporting codes.
  23. Sounds like a reason for a new pair/multiple pairs.
  24. Yip. Particularly curious about the southern suburbs and CBD. Northern suburbs appear to be in a much better space. I acknowledge and I am familiar with many of the names mentioned, but even they are far less visible than before. Infinity would possibly be the one exception.
