  3. I use Kinomap .I don,t really want a a coach like today,s plan .I fractured my collarbone 5 days ago and have to keep on training so Kickr it is for now .Took out a subscription for a year at $69 and can access routes all over the world using an ipad and wifi .There are realistic scenic 10min short rides and warm up rides to ALP d,hue z and other Cols .I only have an ads line with wifi and it works fine .Blue HR works well .If you want to ride Strava sections u will need the cadence sensor also .I also have the software installed on my Samsung 6 { wahoo trainer and kinomap }coh
  4. I know the road in question .Hectic traffic or down and there are no side roads to try and bail out
  5. I also get P#$%d of at has -been rugby players getting entries and free-bee,s from so called charities then make every day,s cutoff by 1 min and then their faces are spluttered on media for the whole week .Who gives a F$%^ .These so called charities are paying them to ride for free and what do they get out of it ??? .At least there are guys like Joel Stransky that i will also sponsor ,for he takes nothing for granted .There is so much more to this event that we don,t see because they focus to much on has-been celebs ,absa employees and front end of the race
  6. Interesting front tire choice .I would expect a more aggressive tread .Please get some pics and opinions on the Pyga stage if there are any ?

  11. I have done CPT in 2012 and 2015 .I liked last year,s route .Regarding 2016 .Stage 1 will be a good route in a very scenic area '.If the route is similar to Monties descember event .There is some very nice Singletract on the farms surrounding Gondwana . Stage 2 will be similar to 2015 stage 1.Took me 7 hours Stage 3 will be in the wet muddy forest trails around George .Will still keep you busy for 4 hours Stage 4 .Montagu pass and then skipping chandelier towards Herold can be a fine ride Stage 5 Around Kamanassie dam .Don,t know what to expect Stage 6 Chandelier game farm has some proper MTB tract I have done Swartberg enough times and Kamanassie twice from both sides .I think the stages will all have enough proper riding .
  12. I changed my Fox 100mm for a SID 120mm .I feel my climbing is better and can now stand and climb more comfortable.than before .The more upright position made flat and descending riding more comfortable .I tuck in my elbows when climbing steep sections .Julian Absalom is the prime example of an upright riding position http://img.over-blog-kiwi.com/0/50/87/62/201304/ob_051fb7_duel-entre-nino-schurter-et-julien-absalon-armin-.jpg

Must have a hospital cover .The rest you can pay yourself .i have used Medihelp dimension hosp cover for almost 20 years .They cover all the big hospital admitted things and also give some out of hospital cover like MRI,S and preventative examinations like mammograms ,cholesterol ext .I have compared to others and always end up with them again .Medical aid not Medical lifestyle plan like vitality

  21. I don,t see the value of carbon rims on a full suspension bike .On a road bike i notice the difference ,but a proper alu rim is already stiff enough
