PS. are you sure you must change your setup before the race? saddles are pretty strong and iv had my dads once clampped to the bent of the rail for over a year now and still working.. and hes +90kgs

As a roadie, not a chance in hell that ill stay up with a 100kg guy on a downhill! but even tho im not too great on the mtb, being light on mtb races helps with downhill.. just too bad i dont have the knickers that the top guys have..

If im not mistaken, pins keep the cassette in place when removed off the freewheel body.. IF the cassette does that when on the freewheel body then i suggest a new one or a new freewheel.. Thus it is just play in the pins (which are removable) so i would not worry too much..
