Of the many things I'm told daily by my wife, doctor, the media et al are going to kill me I'd rate that pretty low on the worry meter .... Having said that, if that's the 'crusade' you want to pursue then please don't let anyone stop you!
How would the organisers know how many riders would be affected by Ramadan besides a possible educated guess ... or is it a question asked at entry in the past (I cannot imagine it was), I can't see any other way to identify them

My gut feeling is that many do but not everyone has that and the other skills (positioning, bunch surfing etc.) to do it .... just thinking out loud

It doesn't matter if it's just a training ride, there are times you can't resist chasing riders ahead .... sometimes you catch them sometimes you don't but either way it's a good feeling 😎
How different can 2 rides be .... yesterday Pat Malone as I normally do on the Rat bike, just ambling along, hectic wind coming back .... today with my good mate Sam on a 'normal' bike, the pace is always a bit higher with him but not a half wheeler, absolutely no wind whatsoever

Just a coincidence, I was at the local canoe club yesterday chatting to the carbon fiber repair guy. He mentioned that they are losing paddlers to 2 things .... cycling (mostly MTB) and due to the poor quality of water, both river and dams
I would say when you wake up Sunday morning, look out the window .... anything other than that is a merely a calculated guess doesn't matter who it comes from 🤪
I don't even know how many tubeless tires I've fitted ... And I still get it wrong now and then, case in point last week. Front wheel on my gravel bike .... Thought stuff it I'll just ride it like that, rode it once. Yesterday I swopped it around but ... Unlike the first time it didn't just inflate first time 😤 ... Took some effort
Lesson learnt, it'll probably happen again AND just because the first go was easy doesn't mean the second time will be!
Back in my running days .... yes yes when running shoe soles were made of some EVA stuff and not soft rubber 🤪
Our club captain Andries told us to always remember that the half way mark in a marathon was 32k's and to judge our effort by that.
