  1. No more common cuzzie ai ai ai - good job weed mod
  2. Good thinking that andydude! I always go look at the shimano BB's cause they have an arrow with tighten on them
  3. Having done it a few occasions I must agree with everyone that is a rewarding experience and you learn a lot along the way As for tools I made use of some good quality allen keys, BB tool and a decent cable cutter. I made a 'press tool' thingamajig with threaded bar and some big ass washers for headsets like the old ones that need to be pressed in but I guess most new bikes have 'integrated' jobs. Just get the bearings in the right way and all the spacers in the right sequence and Bob's your uncle (not Bob TNT1, that could be an embarassment cause he's from the east ront) NB! MAKE SURE YOU UNDERSTAND THAT FOR THE BB AND PEDALS THE THREAD IS REVERSED ON ONE SIDE Wheel building .... ai ai ai that is the one I stay clear of, after chatting to and seeing Dangle and others build wheels there is more of a 'feel' to a well built wheel than 'science' - maybe I'm just doff but I doubt you can buy the bits (assuming you get the correct length spokes etc.) read a book and build a good wheel
  4. We did Heineken then up the 'wide road' right to cellphone tower doen passed eye of africa and the bottom of wattle climb ....

  8. There are some seriously 'opinionated' people on the hub and no that isn't always a good thing but ja whateva blows your hair back
  9. Oi compliments of the season young man! I paid about the same price for the Captains (from my son in laws bike shop) as I did for the RK's (from my mates at Cajees) I didn't like the RK's, too prone to punctures, sidewall cuts, leaking air and very little grip in technical stuff! The Captains are a bit more 'agressive' but probably have a higher rolling resistance ...... (see I can also talk like the ekspets but I doubt anyone will take me seriously ) Only Maxxis I know are Xmarks sorry!
  10. Ai ai ai Elvis? Queen is cool and your 'oddity' about 1 gear and no suspension I can forgive but Elvis, a friendship ruined
  11. I just threw my RK's in the bin and replaced them with Specialized Captain Controls, much happier Your German blood let you get an Italian thoroughbred so I think you'll be OK with other tyres
