  1. PI I have no problem with the original poster of this thread or the way in which you described your experience as it is purely to illustrate a point but rather when it is used superfluously or specifically aimed at some one as it would be used in general conversation by some.
  2. well...it is rude to swear at anybody....not just ladies. You are 100% correct (I'll edit it before Lil'ben sees it thanks)
  3. Is it just me or does it seem that the use of the 'F' word has become acceptable (amongst others) in normal conversation? I would consider it extremely rude to swear in front of (God forbid at!) ladies (or anyone else for that matter) as taught by my parents but it seems their ideas are becoming outdated .... I would still give Lil'Ben a swift smack to the head if I ever heard him doing that (even at 18!). But I guess ja that's just me ......BigBen2009-01-20 03:42:40
  4. No as long as the size is correct you can mix and match no problem.
  5. Cyclosport lic allows you to enter and race with lic guys in most races' date=' depending on the number. The down side is those not up to scratch get dropped and passed before the end by blue rinse grannies on shopping bikes. [/quote'] - I'll be looking out for them Scotman!
  6. please justify this. just slow to poke fun at you. Sharp
  7. Yes it does but the kind of 'undesirables' found here may not all be flushed by such an action .......
  8. I would agree that HR can under no circumstances be considered a 'stirrer', I would challenge he who says that to provide some evidence? As Bob would say - silly man!
  9. You aren't but there many hubber tchops that are ........ the green eyed monster, a terrible thing that
  10. Anyone know where to get a spoke for a Spinergy MTB rear wheel? It's got those fancy white plastic look spokes ........ Fanks in advance!
  11. the tall Finn says it is not 'lukittu'! BTW anyone know how you tell if a Finn is an introvert or extrovert .......
  12. My E71 on it's way from my boss in Dubai - just awaiting that DHL package .......
  13. So I had this one time on a Shimano 540 pedal on an MTB crank and solved it eventually by disassembling the pedal till only the axle was left. Then put the axle section in a vice and gently gently prised it forward and backward till it came lose. Patience my man patience .......... Lil'Ben still using those pedals now and I am using those cranks on a different bike!
  14. Lil'Ben rode with one before he was a junior, can't remember what that's called (juvenile?) albeit a Shimano compatible one and it was no problem. Thank heavens he's U23 now and can ride with 'normal' stuff!
  15. I guess it's PT he's happy to do tortoise ........... and it works for him
  16. Yip it is mate - I was real close to tears (just seeing LBS $$$$$$$$'s again). The small spring goes in easy but that coiled sod ai ai ai .......
  17. STM - must say I have been through the older X9 ones (same as X7 I believe?) and it was a tad easier .......... still not simple though.
  18. ..... that has ever decided to just remove the lower paddle to clean it out (after SabieX's big mud!) and found out that there are 2 fancy springs in there, one of which is a real swine to get back in? BTW these are the newer X9's without the gear indicator (look a bit like X0's without the bling!). Spent about 2 hours on Friday and another 1.5 hours on Saturday before I got it working again! Managed to assemble it a number of times but not in such a way that it would return freely. So if you think about it don't!!!! If you have I found some useful pics by doing a search that helped with how the springs fit in but nothing that gave clear instructions how to get it all back together. Hopefully will help someone else not to sit with 7 pieces of shifter and no idea how to get it back in ......... I cleaned the left shifter with paraffin (no disassembly) and just used some of that new fangled spray can grease from the top and it's working great!
  19. I have done that (swapped just the 12 for an 11). Worked OK, not as smooth shifting from 7th to 8th and back but it was cool. Just do it .........
