rad you tchop ........ we got 5 MTB's between me and LBB and 6 sets of wheels all tubeless and tubeless whips all that other stuff's arse anytime. Even a ghetto with slime other than Stan's or Joe's is better than all those liners and slime tubes and stuff You aren't a real MTBR till you have burst at least one tubeless conversion in your own garage/lounge/kitchen ....... On a serious note the only thing I would say is if you go tubeless rather use 'proper' tubeless tyres as their sidewalls are less prone to cuts (note less prone not immune to)

In all my years (some 18 years) of racing (Duathlon, Triathlon, Cycling, IronMan, Ultraman, Marathons, Comrades) I have tried many different muti's and never found anything that gave me a sudden boost. Having said that I generally race with a 'feeding' strategy so for example rode Fastone with 2 SupaGoos and Fit Carbo supreme. Took 1 goo at 1 hour and another at 2 hours (rode 2:39) and drank most of a 750 bottle of Fit. So just maybe I'm never down enough to feel a sudden 'surge' .......

One day I too will find a gel with these 'miracle' powers .......

OK so I'll go a bit after lunch then ......

New or old rim? Is it possible the braking surfaces were very worn?

Between myself and Lil'ben I guess we got quite a combination going ...... Juicy 7's with original Avid wavy's (Gobbles like a Turkey!) Juicy 3's with an Avid (non-wavy) at the back and a Hope on the front pretty quiet Deore's with Alligator windcutter's noisy but not loud (look like a ninja weapon!) XTR with an Avid (non-wavy) and a wind cutter Deore LX's with a Shimano original and a new Avid (round with like small slots cut ....)

Hey Nance of course in that case it would be considered 'acceptable under the circumstances' and I may well have passed a few of those very words myself on such occasions. My gripe is with the use of those in 'normal' conversation! So nope no smacks to the back of the head unless it's Lil'Ben ......
