  1. IMHO and stats just made up as we do ... 90% is just excuses and dishonest people using any trick to get out of their positive tests/bans etc. Some of these stories come up so often it's honestly laughable 'contaminants' 'from my rump steak last night' Anyway I just left the 10% as I'm sure there are supporters here that'll say I know XYZ and he'd never do that ... And I just continue watching the racing for the spectacle that it is ... I used to say that about the men's racing only but I'm starting to wonder Maar nou ja hier is ons
  2. Some get back on. Some don't. And Some can't. Never take it for granted!
  3. Out of the house 😁
  4. A bit of lottery I guess as with most things in life 🤷
  5. I've always used a broker and let them do the fighting on my behalf and has worked out for me. Wondering if that is not the better way to go? Your experiences...
  6. Jinne ou, cornflakes en melk orals 🤣🤣🤣
  7. As Martin said it's possible depending on the frame and there would be a slight change in geometry which is neither here nor there for a rider like me but 'sensitive' mountain bikers may notice ....
  8. Don't say I didn't tell you when people point and laugh 😎
  9. To move away from the Pixel Picassos for a bit With my limited cycling and TdF knowledge I thought that the yellow jersey had mythical power, gives you the strength of 2 men or something? Much like when you are actually wearing the world champion rainbow jersey chances are you won't win much in that year ...
  10. Probably be comfortable but it'll look zef .... Just don't do it 😛
  11. Go Teddy! 😎
  12. *takes a screenshot* - you never know (if its needed that is) 😎
  13. If you haven't already got tubeless, do it! Just one tip for tubeless .... should you get a puncture that won't seal STOP, locate the puncture and hold your finger on it to stop the air escaping. Now decide what to do ... if it can be plugged (off course you have a tubeless repair 'kit') then do it pronto. Don't wait till the tyre is flat to stop and decide ... in 9/10 cases it's too late and you won't get it re-inflated! IMHO tubeless is the best 'innovation' that has come about in cycling ... the rest is just about comfort, ego and enabling more gnar
  14. But if you're enjoying it, it's all that matters!
  15. *back to the garage to check if I still have that gold paint I used on my disk brake calipers*
  16. Another of those 'builds with what I have' jobs ... thanks to Grumpy for the rim and a few other bits! Took almost a week but I have time, it's ok. @patches 'silver spokes are for poor people' circa mid 2000's ... ok so I painted those few odd spokes red 😎 Replaced a rim that irritated me because it had a CF repair near the brake surface and made for interesting brake 'feel', so before I dondered off unnecessarily ....
  17. Mid 50's bliksem, there are some cars that couldn't manage .... yes you Chery, Tata and GWM drivers 🤪
  18. A bit of a setback had me sitting around for almost 2 weeks but hey 'back on the horse' as the saying goes 😎 Have to start slow and easy ... again! Made a rookie mistake with some old tubes and had to klap 'n toon the last bit home but I'll take it. At least the front wheel I built while lying around held up 😎 Almost always sunshine and blue skies on the Highveld in winter luckily
  19. True but must say after much wracking of brains in not able to fathom 'banging' (as it relates to bike riding 😛 ) and 'janky'
  20. If y'all can just add a 'glossary of terms' for us 'timers it'd help 😎
  21. Rowdy, squish, banging, janky, gnarly, shred, shred-sled .... bliksem ek raak oud 🤔
