  5. Thanks Lulu - Yip, he's a good lad and the cycling has kept him out of trouble! I have no complaints. Now if I could just get him a sponsor to reduce the cost of team Dad .......
  6. ShaunH - you are right that Comaro does have a great shoulder for the climbing section with lots of space, coming down there is also very little traffic that time of the morning. Works a treat for us. Scotty - AM doesn't work for you? Too lazy to get out of bed at 4:15am - you girls frilly pink blouse you ........
  7. WW - Go on you can do it! Want to join us there at 5am every other Tuesday? Scotty - at 5am in the morning it's fine but LBB has tried it in the afternoon and he reckons it gets a bit scary so I would suggest not. Ewep - but but but I don't have a valid visa for that area ......
  8. Cois - runners passing now that's not a problem, happened before but with friggin 'step out shoes'? No that was unnecessary! ShaunH - will check it out next week Tuesday probably and see how we go, won't start in 4th then if it's that steep ........ thanks for the 'heads up'!
  9. Damn' date=' look at that Fox fork bottoming out. BTW swissroll, I think the sand is thick/deep and it's not a flat. [/quote'] Mr Bean - Ja could be ... still thinks thats a classic "snake bite" caught red handed (if chappie was using tubes) Hey Sweez - that's Rourke Crouser, won the juniors hands down so whatever he's using we gotta get some ! Guess I got the surname spelling wrong - sorry
  10. So this morning me and BBB do our long hill repeats on Comaro (you soufern okes know the one eh EWEP, ok so ex soufern!). I decide it will be cool to start in 4th then proceed into uncharted territory in 5th and then 4th and 3rd gears. Now it is a pretty tough climb but ja it's do-able. On the 3rd rep we pass a young man running up in his full work step outs including his step out shoes and we casually continue up the hill, lo and behold as we get about 3 quarters of the way up he comes running past and ............... no it's not possible to accelerate when you're in 4th gear and on the balancing edge on the bike at 5.783kph! But it was a great morning out and lights front and back are definitely required at 5 am already.
  11. Die 'photographers' wou voor donker huis toe gaan!

  14. Bryce Munro on the right - he's not been well for a few weeks so great ride by him to 4th place! Good lad. Cois - due to our Internet setup I can't see the PicasaWeb stuff. Can you mail me please please ........
  15. Results are up at :- http://fritzpienaarcycles.com/cms/content/view/130/107
  16. Schweet, thanks mate! Looking forward to getting the others ............
  17. 2.0.2957 out! Added option to edit elevation track in GPS data. Added option to hide equipment items in activity summary view. Added logbook save command. Numerous small bug fixes detailed in the forum
  18. Like I said mate on training rides I use a pump! Costs nothing
  19. Unless you gonna use cartridges to do general inflation as well as repairs on training rides, how many does one need? I always make sure that I have 2 available at any time for racing. Also carry a pump cause if those are used up so much time has been lost that it doesn't matter how long the 3rd, 4th ..... nth repair takes! I have probably only ever used 1 or 2 in a race for a puncture repair. Having said that I have also used a 'few' when getting frustrated with the inflation of tubeless conversions (don't even go to the 'it freezes the goop' stories cause I aint hearing it!).
  20. You may have to choose not to ride in that group anymore I guess ..... cause it seems to me that in the case of the now 'infamous' OB it aint gonna change mate!
  21. Will probably get slaughtered for this but hey we aint talking about some junior or something here are we? No ........ That old 10$ head 10$ helmet comment comes to mind. So should an adult who without a doubt knows the inherent danger of riding without a helmet decide not to, so what? He's probably the same guy driving without a seatbelt/speeding etc. etc. so probably doesn't give a damn about any of these 'trivial matters. Now I am not for one moment saying don't comment to the oke how stoopid it is but if he continues in that vain let him be ...... And in this case I would say it's valid for anyone not only the 'great' OB! Now were that same person a junior I would say handle it entirely differently and educate and persuade them. But ja that's my commenht, use it, don't use it ................ I wouldn't lose any sleep about it though!
