I would buy the Spesh.....Our LBS sells both Giant and Spesh - Spesh outsells the Giants by at least 5:1. If you want a more relaxed ride take the Roubaix, but also try the Tarmac Comp if you want a more racy ride!!

My 09 Spesh Epic Expert, full XTR (inlc wheelset, except with SRAM Attack gripshifters), KCNC bar, stem, barends and seatpost, Fizik Aliante and SSteel Eggbeaters comes in at 10.5kg. Thats without trying so I think I could get it down further..... Stringbean, whats the weight of your Epic Expert???

Just passed it too. Looks like they were frantically working on a second person. A word of caution to all cyclists riding through Milnerton - do not ride along Otto Du Plessis Milnerton, rather turn into Pienaar Road through Milnerton and exit at the bottom of Boundary road to go into town. There is no hard shoulder along the stretch of road between the Golf Club and Boundary road just where the accident happened. RIP to the deceased and best wishes for a speedy recovery to the injured.

Was in the LBS yesterday and a new bike build is scheduled for today/tomorrow in the workshop for a SL2 61cm??? In my view, a time frame of 9-10 working days for a warranty claim and the building of a new bike is not bad service at all (accounting for transport from CT to JHB which is usually 2 days one way!!) If you want an earlier ride, Cycles Direct leaves from the Table View traffic lights (Cnr Blaauwberg Rd and West Coast Rds) at 6am every Saturday and Sunday and usually have both road and MTB's ride options. Mackem2008-12-09 06:57:50

Its not just the Banks. I am having the same problem trying to cancel a Vodacom 3G account. Sent all of the correct documentation at the end of September, again in October and now again yesterday. Its not just the money side that annoys me, its the fact that the call centre just couldnt give a sh^t about getting it sorted out and the F#ck you attitude to actually solving your problem. A further thing that riles me is that you can never speak to the same person twice, even though they say call me back tomorrow. They should be the ones calling me back!!!! Luckily all my phone calls are recorded so I have a back up should my problem fail to be resolved.
