  5. At 6.30pm last night a brave soul was on Marine Dr in bumper to bumper traffic between Steven Johnson cars and Lagoon beach causing cars to sverve.Fancy front light but rear light not very bright, only on helmet and partly obscured by backpack. The cycle path only 2m away.Makes no sense!!!!! After Lagoon beach the cars all hugged the pavement and forced him onto the cycle path!

  12. Back on the bike after a week off, because of injury. First ride Sat morning .Could not believe the peace and quiet. No enjin noise, radio or wind noise.Just the gentle hum of the wheels on the tar Great feeling
  13. Good spot to have some coffee and watch all the movement in the bay.Divers & fishermen getting ready to go to sea, kiddies fishing. Great memorial
  14. On the Rocks,Blaauwberg strand
  15. For the guys cycling on the wrong side(going into CT) of the Marine Dr ,Paarden eiland near the Caltex service station.Cars turning into the service station have difficulty seeing cyclists in the dark, because for all the lights of the service station, reflectors of the stationary trucks and cars overtaking. Please switch your lights to flashing or better still use the Marine Dr service rd. On the way to watch the Epic I saw MTB at the last moment as I was turning into the service station

RIP Condolenses to crew of Scallywag
  18. Condolences to families of the deceased.RIP Feel the waterpoint below Wynberg hill should be moved a little further towards Muizenberg. Most riders come down that hill above 50kmh.Have to change their line to get to the waterpoint and stop.Saw a guy who had lost his brakes, bail for the side of the road and then jump off .How he did not fall is a wonder. He came to a stop about 10m from the waterpoint. Great day out with family
  19. If it was the fall near the Elsenburg rd crossing, the guy picked himself up and cycled to the crossing where the ambulanses were waiting for him after a Media motorbike called them. His face was all beaten up and the ambulanses loaded him and his bike
  20. M5 will be easy then on to FW de Klerk.easy easy
  21. Have not seen any discussion from MTB's as to : knobblies or slicks. And are they going to clean their dirty shoes?
  22. Street lights out from Lower Church Street bridge to the otherside of the bridge near the Marine Dr link.Luckily I was on that section before the buses started and could use the buslane.
  23. Drove through Sea Point yesterday and it is going to be very narrow just before the swimming pool as the road works are taking up half the road and it is right on the corner. Be careful out there
  24. Hectic going down Chappies towards Noordhoek yesterday morning.Gusting wind, high speed overtaking ,horse trailers, cars, motorbikes and then there was the traffic coming up the hill as well Be safe out there!!!
  25. Saw one of the leading bunches miss a turn off just before the Muratie waterpoint.Signage a bit misleading causing them to go racing down the tar .Hope they found their way back.
