Just got a Giant Revel 2 29er 2012 about 3 mnths ago for R6000 .Loving it.Use it mostly for commuting,but do tar and gravel over weekends.Feels a bit heavy at 17kgs.Go test one.

Coming back from Koeberg Nature Reserve yesterday,near derdesteen saw a cape cobra trying to cross the road .Lucky to be on the tar ,if i had been in the single track next to the road I would have seen him to late.Must have been 2m .Lucky no cars around as I did some quick swerving.

the problem starts as far back as Queens Rd,Sea point .Almost got taken out twice on Sat am ,before i even got to Bakoven . Turned around and went home.

Best fun ,do it with a friend or family.Hope the southeaster will stay away.Sad to miss out on Boyes Dr,the view is fantastic

I will be going for a ride from Muizenberg to Simons town on Sat 7.00am .We need to take our rightful place on the road and show that we are not going to be scared off the road.Just like we are not going to be scared off the cycle lanes.

Saw a Metro officer patrolling between Lower Church St and Paarden eiland yesterday at 2.00pm( Sunday!) as well as 2 guards on top of the Lower Church st bridge. Well done to the city !

Hi Do the cycle lane most days between 4.30 and 5.30pm wait near the security gaurds at the Train Lodge as most guys pass through there.Fence at the bridge has been repaired.Metro cops very active along the section through to Paarden eiland.Lights still out from tunnel under N1 to Lower Church st early morning.

Been looking for the other Giant commuters in stores but had no luck.City cycles seem the only shop to stock them.settled for 29er

any problems on the cycle track lately? I come through from Milnerton at about 5am and have had no problems so far.Got a new Giant Revel yesterday but to scared to use it on the cycle track after feed back on the Hub.Considering some pepperspray but don't know how to keep it close at hand .

You don't realise how beautifull the Peninsula is untill you have been around it on a bike .Bring a novice along and you will hook them on cycling for life.

Been cycling for about 2yrs and suffer from stiff hamstrings .Is the bike setup wrong or should I stretch more.
