    Sailing

Going to be some exciting sailing at the start of The Volvo Ocean Race from 2pm . Wind up to 65kmp
  5. The more I ride in the city the more I love the cycle lanes, even if the bad boys are a bit of a threat. You have to have your wits about you to avoid drivers skipping traffic lights, forcing their way through pedestrian crossings and the list continues. Stay safe out there
  6. If you are a Cape Townian I hope you came to work by bike today,as the city is once again being held hostage by the Taxi m.......rs. Traffic going to be hectic this afternoon. If you came by car leave early. Feel sorry for my staff putting up with this s....t

  10. A nice 9kg bike is a pleasure to commute on,except when the South Easter is pumping under the CT Civic Centre and you get blown all over the place.Missed my 16kg tank this morning.

  13. Took a cruise down to the Milnerton beach after the last storm to check out the surf. I feel for these surfers having to deal with all this muck as well as the e coli coming from the Blackriver.
  14. Sunrise in Koeberg Nature Reserve on Monday am , all by myself.Had to ask this road block to move .Other animals out incl Zebra and Springbok within meters of the road.
  15. After spending 90 min in gridlock traffic yesterday afternoon in CT CBD I turned the car around and went back to work. Was a pleasure on the bike this morning and looking forward to passing all those suckers in their cars this afternoon.

  17. Peaceful protest.PPA at Western Cape Gov on Sat handing over letters to Prov Traffic chief Kenny Africa
  18. Be careful out there.Luckily the thick bush has burnt away. Some not so nice fellows wandering around there at times
  19. Dissapointed by the low spectator turnout Had a great day out as a spectator on Sunday. Some dogs chased my bike at Muratie. Some squirrels+/- 10 rushed across the road at Kanonkop after stealing some Kanonkop Pinotage grapes ,calling for some evasive action.Felt sorry for the guys that got as far as Knorrhoek only to have a cable snap or a back tyre fail. Some thrills and spills at the Uitkyk water point when guys look away for a split second and end up on the cement.OUCH.pick themselves up ,put back the chain, bomb a tyre ,have a good laugh and off they go.Guys desperately looking for a mechanic with 15 km to go,with their gears sounding terrible Great to get up close to the racing, see the concentration, the smiles, the sighing when they see the next climb, the dirty faces and the ladies doing their thing. But best of all are riders saying thank you when they see that you have come out to cheer them on.
  20. The way the container trucks drive at the entrance to the harbour as well as on the Koeberg interchange really sucks. Not long ago some guys in a Avanza were taken out inside the harbour by a trucker.I would rather take my chances on Hijack Alley!
  21. Get well soon,Barry
  22. Much respect
  23. Tues & Wed -Mining Indaba at CTICC causing havoc
  24. Traffic and more traffic and then bliss to get onto the Cycle lane
