Very heavy traffic through Clifton yesterday afternoon .MTb hugging the curb,trying to give me space to pass.Waited for a 1.5m gap but delivery bakkie behind me lost his cool and overtook on a blind corner and almost took out the MTB .The gap must have been +/- 30cm. Lots of education still needed
Easy cycle to Woodstock My Citi bus station ,up onto Lower Church,straight across robot up to Victoria Rd , turn right and Woodlands a couple of streets down on left.Never had a problem on cycle route always guys on this route.At peak hour traffic is heavy but slow or just ride on the pavement Just stay away from Gympie and Barron st .I would rather ride a bike than walk.
Get a backpack large enough to take all your work clothes and pop it in the washing machine every now and then.I'm lucky to have shower at work,basin washing is not the same.
While driving through Waterfront on yesterday I was caught by a group of CTG coming back from Campsbay.My thoughts - nice kit but need to work on their attitude.Intimidating to drivers to have a peleton overtaking on the inside and then swarming over the road at the robots because they were in the wrong lane.
The city has cctv all around town ,wonder if they would not be able to pick it up.A while ago the cops caught 3 guys with stolen stuff, the owners were still sleeping and did not even know the stuff had gone missing.
After 4 months off the bike eventually discovered a broken toe after 2sets of exrays and an ultrasound.Was expecting some sick leave, instead Dr. recommended Cycling.Now thats my kind of Dr.
When road is too busy , cycle on pavement (railway line side Muizies to St James) or in the middle of the lane and pull over if traffic builds up. All the best for the little cyclist and her family
Just entered .Hoping to start my 4th ,once again from the last start gr.Can you guys up front please move along swiftly (and keep left!!) to cut down on the congestion. Dare I say that I will be on nobblies and will also be training 12 hours a week before the joyride.
