    Ryan Cox

Unbelievably bad news. R.I.P. Ryan, one of the true gentlemen of the sport and a great champion.
  3. The only problem Trackz is your diction - it's "AN MTB"
  4. Well done to BW - everything of ther best in July. On the theme of what bike is better than the next - to paraphrase a famous TDF winner "?t's not about the bike - it's about what you take!" But then, riding an American frame is the equivalent of riding Japanese equiment - to be avoided if you are serious about cycling.
  5. Contact Beverley Spires on bev@isa.co.za
  6. National track champs are in Gauteng this year at Hector Norris Park.
  7. Great news!!! Wishing Greg a speedy recovery.
  8. Hope your brother and all other injured persons make a rapid and full recovery. There were a few irresponsible riders in the tandem bunch on Sunday and I'm personally suprised that there weren't more incidents.
  9. The tandem crash looked horrific, happened next to us but I couldn't tell you any details. I heard later that the stoker was quite badly hurt - any updates?
  10. Agree - I just couldn't stretch the budget that far....so I'm convincing myself that my Chorus gruppo is better value!
  11. Chorus is better value for money.
  12. 93.4km/h down Jan Smuts through Craighall Park - damp road, racing tandem bunch.
  13. And if it rains...........we'll all just get wet!
  14. Michael is one of the best prospects on the road and the track as well as being one of the most likeable guys too! Great to see him doing well in China.

Thyolo, Theodolite is correct - it's "spellt" where you have the spelling problem!
  16. If they are that good why are you upgrading?
  17. Black Millennium seat post to match the stem and a set of Boras
  18. Agree..I have an Ultergra / XT mix on my tandem and it works great. The campag chorus on my single bike also works extremely well - horses for courses.
  19. Big H - Campag components are not weak, the reason that Shimano is more widely used in the tandem market is because they offer the MTB range of components which are better suited to triple chainblades and the wider gear ratios used on a tandem. And it's Campagnolo...not Campagnolia.
  20. I'm not sure who to contact regarding the track riding at Pilditch. If you're interested in riding in Jo'burg PM me your contact details and I'll put you in touch with the correct people at Hector Norris Park.
  21. I think Freddie Pienaar was trying to revive the track scene at Pilditch although I don't have any contact details for him unfortunatley. The Pilditch track has a couple of problems but is still rideable (even if it may seem a bit intimidating at first). For the Jo'burg riders there is track league racing every Saturday at 14h00 (Hector Norris Park). If there are enough roadies who pitch then we'll put on a couple of races for them as well. All welcome.
