  8. from what another hubber taught me - dont touch the screws. somewhere between the shifter and the derailer there is another more simple thing which you rotate that does not need any tools. play with that. (sorry, not good at describing technical parts)
  9. Excuse my ignorance but "ghetto method"?
  10. Oddly it is the usual crowd.... hey, wadda you doing online? my excuse for an evening online is waiting for an email from a new sponsor that i need to reply to.
  11. Gets to me too. Frigging morons At Carnival I was so focused on racing until that moron threw his gu. I then focused on anger management. Actually considered "dropping" a full bottle as I passed that fat () man. Its so unnecessary to do that, one wash and the sticky is gone. There are constantly articles and stats about this. A dried gel is like concrete on tar. Okay, Di CPD is going to skulk back to the kitchen for some more carbo loading and liquids and tv before she gets nafty with litter bugs.
  12. No' date=' just Bright!![/quote'] Okay, but can I define it as AMABRIGHTBLING?? You almost blinded me with that link! Imagine that: a blind graphic destroyer

  19. Dont like hills but count me in!
  20. Trust me, I regret not discovering cycling when down there. okay, I did ride a bit - like the old road from saasveld to map of africa (AMAZING) but nothing hectic. My friends are bugging me again to visit but thanks to all my cycling holidays and my 2 bush trips I cant find time!! Maybe next year I take a week and drive down with BOTH bikes. Yep, I am suddenly homesick now. Coat, bike, leave ......... ah rats! bike at home and I am stuck at work!
  21. Tip from an ex-South Cape person (lived in George for a few years)... Find a trail and ride!! There are so many to play around. I was into hiking then and found that just above George, hidden in the mountains are 5 stunning dams that you dont notice until you stumble upon them. Also... road bike must do: outeniqua pass; mtb must do: montagu pass. I regret not riding those 2 and am planning 2 holidays - 1 road and one mtb!
