  1. Yeah, sorry. I did a bit more research and you'd have to get the adapter for BB86 specific to your crankset for your frame. This would involve getting the current BB removed and the new BB pressfit'd into the frame, then you can simply install your new crankset
  2. The best kind of BB. Easy to service, easy to source!
  3. No problem. BB's are a dark art. There are so many options and so many different types, I find it hard to make sense of it all. What I know is based on a bit of Googling, so maybe just double check before buying things on the basis of my research.
  4. BB86 and BB30 are not the same thing, you are correct. BB30 is a 30mm spindle and 68mm shell. BB86 is a 24mm spindle and an 86.5mm shell. With a bit more research, I think you may need to get that adapter mentioned in my above post (to reduce the inside diameter to fit the 24mm spindle on the Ultra-Torque crank).
  5. To use an Ultra-Torque crank in a BB86 frame, you need an adapter. That being said, this article (http://www.competitivecyclist.com/campagnolo-ultra-torque-bb86-adapter) makes it sound like the cups are pressed into the frame anyway. Considering that both Shimano and Campagnolo use 24mm spindles, I would tentatively guess that your crank will fit straight into that BB. The article referenced above would indicate that you would have to remove the current BB from your bike and press-fit the BB86 Ultra-Torque adapter. That being said, I think that because of the same spindle size, you can simply remove the crank and fit you (simply stunning) Record crank. Try it yourself, it is easy as pie to remove the Hollowtech crank, if you have the right tools.
  6. High pressure can force water into bearings and other places. Not really something you want to happen.
  7. Whaaaat? Cant say I agree with you on that one. Matte black and blue, I think it looks fantastic. But each to his own.
  8. 140... sure! I'm sure there were a couple of lead right foot moments. Jokes, really awesome car, hope you enjoy it very very much.
  9. I really don't understand why people come here to knock the bike. If you don't like it/think it's too expensive/can't afford one/whatever your reason is, why not just ignore the thread and let okes who like Specialized bikes rave on about it?
  10. I dont think you'll regret the clutch derailleur even a little bit. I run mine on a 3x10 setup and it still amazes me. Quiet, no chainslap, no dropped chain ever (at least not yet).
  11. Very, very hot bike. Many happy km's Cap
  12. The water will help immensely, but the drugs aren't doing anything for you. They are not long-acting enough to have an effect on the pain the next day, and I will bet everything I have that its the rehydration attempt that is making you better rather than the drugs. So save your stomach lining from aspirin and leave it alone.
  13. Honestly, I think it is a major performance drawback. I try to run out a hangover after a large night, and I honestly feel the pits. Before a big event, I will stay away. Hell before a planned ride I will tone it down or teetotal. Dehydration plus headache plus the stink of alcohol from your sweat (no open flames please) is too much to suffer through on the bike.
  14. Speak to Eldron "The Citec Guy". His wheels look amazing and I'm sure they offer Lefty configurations. The weight and strength is second to none and the wheels come with a fantastic warrantee.

  16. I appreciate that it sucks that part of your trail is being closed and I would be fuming too, but it is not fair or reflective (as it turns out) of the culprits to wholesale 'ban' non-members. I dont stay in Tygerberg area, and only make a plan to come every now and then. It is absolutely unfair that the trails should be closed to members only, just because that is the easier method of "policing" the trails. The main problem is that people who are going to cause *** are going to cause ***. The law-abiding, honesty box paying riders like you and I are going to be subject to their behaviour whether you make it members only or not. Its their mindset that is the problem. I am just saying that you ought not to ban the paying non-members because of the actions of a few. That will allow more people to ride trails, and secure more income for the club to do maintenance.
  17. That would be very counter-productive. I dont go there often enough to warrant being a member, and go with my mates very infrequently. Should Tokai only allow people in Activity Cards?
  18. Nice! That black Ultegra crank looks the business on the white bike. Top quality. Those wheels are so nice as well.
  19. Woah, calm down there Fido. I never said we were better than you, I'm just glad that you (and you alone) are not here with your misguided views making our roads unsafe. Unknot your panties bro.
  20. Says the guy going baaa, baaa.
  21. Quick change of feet there bro. At the end of the day, go ride your MTB, stay off the wrong side of the road and stop trying to argue a point, then at minute 89, change your tune and say oh no this doesn't apply to us, were only MTB riders. If you're changing over to the other side of the road, but not physically on the road itself, then that's fine. I do this when I ride to Tokai. Its only for 10 meters and to anticipate a gap in the traffic on a blind bend. I then exit to a turn and continue my ride off road. Would I do this on my road bike. No.
  22. Nice! Someone on the hub has a nice signature that is appropriate right now: "Better to remain silent and be thought of as a fool, lest you open your mouth and remove all doubt."
  23. No I didn't I in fact did answer your question, you just decided to ignore that. And yet again, you still haven't even attempted to explain how your going to avoid T-boning cars and pedestrians that pull out of blind intersections, with you on the wrong side of the road. That situation will occur much more likely than your drunk driver one, I'm fairly certain of that. It is truly a good thing you are in KZN, cause that way I dont have to deal with you making the roads any less safe than they already are.
  24. Whilst we are doling out the grammar advice bro, do you realise there is no need for multiple ellipses and punctuation marks after everything. When writing a new sentence, all that is required is a full stop and a capital letter. Go write that 100 times.
