  1. IMHO it was a very sporting move by MSC. He knew Vettel was streams ahead of him in terms of speed, and the conditions were too dangerous for it to be an all out contention. Pretty much the same reason that Vettel backed off of Massa in the latter stages. He was racing too dangerously and didn't want to risk a pass. His move aside was a well reasoned strategy. Rather than risking both of them going out (as Vettel WOULD have attempted a pass on MSC eventually) he went aside and let him come trhough, so both of them survived.
  2. I think this was the most exciting race of the season. Nowhere else were drivers' skills tested so much in 90 minutes. Rain, no, wait, i think so, yes, there it is! No, wait, that's a swimming pool... Vettel had a cracker of a race. Alonso also, to rise 5 places, but mostly due to the inability of others to race PROPERLY in the wet, on a set of slicks, and Massa's dangerous blocking of the rest of the field. Massa seemed as if he was quite prepared to take others out in order to secure Alonso with the win. And once again, Vettel came from the back, when the chips were stacked against him. If this hasn't proven that he's a truly great driver, then nothing will. Came from the back in the dry, only to come from the back in the wet a race later. What a champ!
  3. Yeah, I know! Been following the developments eagerly, which is why I'm afraid to ride one. May put me in a tailspin! Afaik, it's either the name the chinese okes call him by, or stands for Pat You've Gone .... (Something). As for the official reason? I dunno
  4. No, no - please no! Not after I've just put the depo down on that reign x! Should take delivery of her at the end of the month. YAY! But I will, eventually. Told William I may be there on the test day, depending on how family life is going on the day. Maybe it'll become my next XC bike. Who knows. But it sure as hell won't be now!
  5. I saw these very bikes in Tokai last week. Wonderful machines!
  6. The horsies aren't actually allowed off the jeep track. At all.
  7. The OP is. Contradiction in terms, yes. But there are bikes that are semi-capable of both. The Rocky Mountain of Garlicki, for example. He threw that thing all over the Urban Assault.
  8. Yeah, but then a Santa Nomad will never be a marathon event machine. So what's your point? Santa TBc is super duper stiff, as evidenced by their superiority in carbon design, and is for all intents and purposes one of the BEST XC/Marathon biased singletrack munching machines. The Anthem, for all it's commonality, is a highly accomplished XC bike that is surprizingly competent at the technical stuff. Again, for an XC bike. Neither of them are farm-gates. That award is reserved for something like a Trek Superfly, or a GT Marathon or similar.
  9. Damn, that SB66 still looks damn good!
  10. ROFL! Yeah, I have the chain and balls (plural) but I love em. Realized just yesterday how much my "freedoms" have been curtailed though. No more just popping out for a ride. Has to be planned, planned again, and everything has to be hunky dory before I leave. Little one crying? No ride. And on it goes. Out comes the IDT again!
  11. 100% Hayley! Although, that Scott may have been the reason!
  12. Erm... expand on that please? If my heart were to choose, I'd say the Tallboy. Then the Tallboy LT would pop up and wring my neck for not choosing it. I'd pass all the okes on the Anthems and smile, knowing that I made the right choice.
  13. I think around the 13k mark. Could be wrong. But I'm getting mine 2nd hand from a secret location. Put the deposit down on it earlier this week...
  14. Already put a deposit on my xms present to myself. http://www.giant-bicycles.com/_upload_us/bikes/models/xxl/2010/Reign%20X%20Frame_GE_GU_72dpiWIDE.jpg
  15. Your wife, my ugly? Yeah. Sounds about right!
  16. I like it. Still prefer the look of the Evil Undead, but if I were given this, I'd say "yes master, thank you master" and proceed to back away slowly, turn then bolt.
  17. Click on More Reply Options. Click on Upload Picture. Fanny's your aunt.
  18. I still like my Bell Faction. Hot, yes. But very good in the protection department.
  19. Yeah, this Bell only comes out next year. Have a chat to the guys at Action (speak to Devon) - they can get hold of pretty much anything, and are super keen to help.
  20. yeah, i know. Apparently was owned by an XCer who wanted to dabble in DH/FR etc, and fell one too many times. Now it's my turn to open the door to AM goodness. Oh - I put the word out, and a little birdie said speak to this person. The little birdie was spot on.
